Egg Bake
Tonight, I thought rather than share a recipe in a Thunderdome or drama thread, I thought I'd start with the recipe and see what kind of drama it brought with it. Mikko made this for his wife tonight, apparently it was a hit and has already been written in for a Christmas Breakfast for the family. Hope everyone is doing great, hug someone you love today Ingredients: 10 Eggs, beaten 2 packages cottage cheese (16 oz) 1 pound shredded Monterey Jack cheese 1 can diced green chiles (4 oz) 1/2 Cup butter, melted 1/2 Cup all-purpose flour 1/2 Cup crumbled bacon (optional) 1 teaspoon baking powder Instructions Step 1: Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F Prepare 10x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray (or coat with butter) Step 2: Mix eggs, cottage cheese, Monterrey jack cheese, green chiles, butter, flour, and baking powder together in large bowl, pour into baking dish Step 3: Bake in a pre-heated oven for 15 minutes Reduce heat to 350 degrees F and continue baking until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the casserole comes out clean (approx 30 minutes) Optional Step 4: Sprinkle the bacon on top after for a little touch of glory Bonus!
