I would set up a home alone style contraption, a big mouse trap, an innocent piece of string which sets it all in motion. First a teapot would fall onto the unsuspecting Grinch, followed by boxing gloves on springs suddenly shooting right under the grinch from the floor. Followed by the loudest alarm clock you have ever heard and the sweet final kiss, a bowling ball coming through a gutter system on the stairs, straight into the Grinchs gut. Knocking the fool out.
