The St. Louis Crows has finished there pre-playoff workouts today before tomorrow nights games. These workout consisted of a lot of skating, specifically speed skating and there physical aspects of the game. The coach of the Scarecrows emphasized on the aspect of not giving the other team any room or time to make a play. Constant attacking. Even some talks about making the line times shorter on the ice to rest up everyone quicker and changing the lines faster to produce this tactic. Only time will tell if the coach of the Scarecrows will be successful with it. Of course besides the actual practice, most members of the Crows are doing their weird playoff traditions like Matthew LeClaire for example. He hasn't shaved his beard in a few weeks and wears a captain crunch watch he got when he was a kid from the cereal box when not on the ice.

We had to wait for probably the longest time to get confirmation that we would be heading into playoffs, so the preparations came a bit out of the blue but regardless of everything, they came in the end. Anchorage faces Quebec City in the first round and is looking to end their long playoff drought. One of two things we've been focusing on is our offensive style of play, Armada did not do the best job with their forwards in the regular season, but it is going to end now. With the amount of physicality on their roster, Armada is focusing heavily on boarding. The quality of it is very much comparable to Seattle in the SHL, but still on a lower level. The other factor Armada has been working on is shutting down Quebec City's great individuals, Edward Elric, Jack St. Clair and Viktor Hargreeves. Elric is a former familiar face from Anchorage so there was not as much work to do as there was with St. Clair and Hargreeves. Both do lack the strength to protect the puck with their body, so heavy hitting is very much to be expected from Armada's side.

To start the week, the Regina Elk prepared for the playoffs as most teams would. They strategized their game plan and practiced it on the ice while figuring out those perfect line combinations that could be the difference maker in the playoffs.

Outside of the standard on-ice practices, the Regina Elk prepared for the playoffs by spending a bit more time on team bonding. One of the nights mid-week, the Elk got together at Top Golf for a happy hour and to hit some golf balls. Later in the week, the team gathered at their general manager's house for a team dinner.

These team bonding activities, although not always hockey related, can play a key role in the chemistry of the players once they get on the ice. The Elk have spent a lot of time on the ice together this season, but as anyone has seen from past championships in any league, the champions tend to be the ones who have that chemistry off the ice as well.

A lot of the preparation for the playoffs for us here in Yukon was mental preparation, as in the first round we have been given a rematch from last year against the Colorado raptors, the team that the malamutes ended up beating in seven games last year after going down 3-1 in the series, we all knew that we had the ability to beat this team, but we weren't gonna get complacent especially after how close it was last year. Our last practice before the playoffs was spent making sure we were all very confident in all of our strategies and just making sure that we knew what we were doing and how to effectively combat the strategies used in Colorado. They say that the mentality is half of the battle, and us in Yukon are here to prove that it's just as important to have the mental part of the game.

Minnesota did not make it to the playoffs this season, however as I am still a part of the Detroit Falcons I am currently enjoying a Bye period for being the best team in our conference and the division. This doesn't mean I grab ass while we await our opponents in the next round however, the team is working to bank on the incredible season we've had and try to use the momentum of how dominant we were during regular season and use that as fuel to propel our way to the Four Star Cup final. We do the regular drills but we go hard knowing we have a serious chance at winning it all this season and one thing we don't want is to be taken outearly in the dance. We work for one goal and that's to bring the Four Star Cup home to Detroit! If we maintain the same level of intensity, dedication, passion for the game that we had during the season then we have an incredible chance to make it all the way!

The Vancouver Whalers where the Dark Horse in the first round playoff-series of the SMJHL. I think nobody bets a dollar on the team from british columbia against the favourite St. Louis Scarecrows. But like everything in sports, this series first ends if the fat lady stops singing. Hoping for much noise from the homecrowd and the magic of the playoffs there is a little chance for the whalers. So the Whalers have nothing to loose and are well prepared for this playoffs. A mix between hard training and regeneration will be the program for the day in front of the best time of year in Hockey. There will be a great Fanfest for the home and away games in front of the Pacific Coliseum. At the Gamebreaks Bryan Adams, which residence is vancouver, will rock for the fans with his Rockband. The national anthem will be performed by Melly Furtado.

After a bit of speedbump mid season Scholz and the rest of the boats finished the season strong and sewed up the 3rd spot in the conference, which funnily enough was 4th in the entire league. Talk about a strong Pacific side. In our first round matchup we have a date with the Quebec City Citadelles who finished 23-39-4 for 13th in the league. Through 6 games during the regular season the Armada managed to go 4-2-0 against the Citadelles with a goal differential of +6, although in those two losses we were shut out both times. If we can replicate the same success we had during the regular season I like our chances against Quebec City in round 1. Quebec appears to score by committee with no particular player standing out above the rest and they've had a bit of a revolving door in net so there isn't any specific player to target. If the Armada can stick to what got them wins in the regular season and not get ahead of themselves and assume Quebec will roll over as the 13th seed they should be able to win a best of 7 series.

Thanks for the sig ragnar!

The St. Louis Scarecrows prepared for the playoffs by adhering to a strict diet of raw meat, fruits and vegetables. The raw meat primarily is being source through various forms of sushi, and road kill. As for the fruit and vegetable they came primarily as salads and fruit trays. In addition, the St. Louis Scarecrows management had the entire time show up at St. Louis Renaissance Festival. Which went over like a ton of bricks with some of the players. Such as Walt Clyde Frazer who was not to thrill about attend a ren fair although he did look lovely in a Viking hat with a turkey lag and beer stein. I was a crying shame that no saucy broads would have been caught dead with him. As the fine polyester suit just did not appeal to the ladies attending the event. Overall though the Crows enjoyed their time at the St. Louis Renaissance Festival.

Unfortunately, the Knights had not made the playoffs this season, but we weren't the worst team, which is nice to say. We'll hopefully be able to do quite a bit better next season, as some of us really become comfortable as players in the juniors. Plus, the better teams will be seeing quite a few of their better players leaving the team, so we'll be able to hopefully gain some ground.

For this offseason, Jagrs will be training, both for next season, and the draft. He definitely does not have the upside of other prospects, some don't even think he will see the SHL, but who really knows. A team will take the chance on him, so he better put in the work now if that is a direction he is heading.

Over the summer, Jagrs will also be visiting Banff, Jasper, and then likely go back home to Czechia to see his friends and family, as he has not really been able to over the season.

the detroit falcons in the eastern geographical region of the united states of america are a hockey team preparing for the season 68 playoffs of the simulation major junior hockey league because they have not needed to prepare the entire season because the rest of the league is pathetic and terrible at the game of hockey. the current training and preparations involve copious amounts of alcohol, performance enhancing drugs, recreational drugs and breeding among team members. all of these are in preparation of winning or losing the four star cup because they are either preparing for the innevitable or they are simply spending another night together playing lords of the locker room again for the 69420th time. fans have been invited to join in on the current festivity and fan engagement is at an all time high, if they were not high enough already, as this is the real test of whether they can consume that many intoxicants for when they win the challenge cup in their future. they even practiced lifting the cup and the ceremonious passing of the cup to each other!

Raptors Coloradski have made many important preparings for this time of playoff. First things, we ate many extra food, not to be fat but to have maximum of energy for playoff series. No soda, coach has forbidden this, but much water and electrolyte powder. Then we watch many film of opponent team. Grzegorz does not remember who opponent team is, is already very drunk after tragedy of loss, so please for patience. We see defensive strategy, offensive tactics, favorite shooting spots of best scorers, we see when their players yell at each other and which plays made them so upset with each other, so we can try recreating this to make them lose their game. We finally make extra practice ourselves, focus on countering opposing team but not to lose our own game. We still have to play as Colorado Raptors and not try to be different team, but we can also play like we know our opponent like he knows himself. If only it had been enough to win this series! Oh well, better luck next year. Grzegorz will be better goalie, too, for team.

Unfortunately our season didn't end as well as we wanted, on the outside looking in. Metzller is on his way back to Switzerland to jump start his off season training prior to the upcoming SHL Draft. Something that was really lacking in his game this season was his offensive production. Coming into the SMJHL boasted as a slick two way defenseman, he only managed to get 20 points in 66 games. That's going to be a major focus this off season. Metzller is going to really focus on his play making abilities, his strength, and his puck handling. He is hoping to come into training camp getting top line minutes as well as quarter backing at least the second power play unit, hopefully eventually the first though. While not known for his shot, Rikaad does plan to shoot 100-200 pucks a day to score more than 2 goals next season, but will mainly focus on playmaking.
