Time again for my seasonal post
Season 5 was a great season again. We won the playoffs in 2.2 and so promoted to the highest league: 1.1
Rotislav Smekal earned the MVP Tier 2 Award and the Netherlands finished on a respectable 3rd place in their group.
U21 lost the playoffs final in 1.1 but they performed better than i expected.
Season 6 is just an hour underway. It kicks off with a complete overhaul of the scouting system, adding more depth to the game.

The end of Season 6 is about a week away and the draft occurring next weekend. Hockey Nation continues to be actively developed by HNAdmin. Over the last few seasons, the simulation engine has been upgraded and now includes major penalties and fights between players. The player scouting system has also been revamped. While you would be missing out on certain ongoing events (Friendly Cup, Underachievers Cup, Playoffs, etc), the next couple of days would be a good time to give this game a go- you'll be able to set up friendlies to start toying with the sim, you'll get to draft some extra prospects now instead of in 2 months, and you should have enough time to organise re-signing any expiring players worth keeping while also being able to let the clock run down an extra on any shitty contracts you'd rather see go without consequence.

Bump. Two more seasons have flown by. Now is a great time to jump in, as admin has just enacted a wide range of updates. There's a great search function added that lets you quickly find any player, team or user. You can now look at a much wider range of player stats, including Corsi, and a second trade window is in place after you've been eliminated from the playoffs. Free agents and the players you're negotiating salaries with will see their demands refresh a few times partway through the season. We have also added Federations to the various national teams, which is a way for you to contribute to the success of your preferred national teams and tilt the spawn balance of new players via the success of your own personal pro and u21 squads. There will also be 12 more national teams added at the start of next season, with voting on what those teams will be to take place this season.
