Commissioners: We all know that the IIHF World Championship is the ultimate hockey experience. We bring the best players in the world into one arena for one month. They play for their nation, their fans and their pride, not for money.

<Clip of Japanese players preparing for their game against Ireland. Cut to Kawashima and Minamino (Japan). Cut to the American players standing for the national anthem, with Raiden and Duncan (USA) in the foreground.>

Commissioners: We know what this tradition means to this community. Everyone knows that this tournament would not be possible without the invaluable contribution of those who work behind the scenes. We would like to thank the Simmers, the HO members and the Fed Heads for their hard work.

<Clip of a face-off between "The Tater" Jager (Great Britain) and Anton Harrier (Ireland). A second clip of Sophie Bordeleau (Latvia) being hit by Luc Blouin (Canada) in front of Anthony Dionne's net.>

Commissioners: Kids from all over the world dream of playing in the IIHF World Championship. It sets the standard for what hockey should be, and we are happy to say that the best of the best in the world did not disappoint here in Tampere.

<Quick montage of rookies. Cut to 11-year-old M'Baku Olubori (Sweden) scoring his eighth goal in a game at the African PeeWee Hockey Tournament, then to Olubori scoring the first goal of the gold medal final against Finland. Cut to Matsmith Söderberg-Tremblay (Sweden) drinking champagne and celebrating, with Outdoor Truck and Chad Nickelback (Finland) in the background, disappointed with their silver medal. Cut to UCORCAL teammates, now opponents, Matiss Ozolinsh (Latvia) and Raiya Rabinov (Russia) talking during the warm-up for their first match against each other. Cut to Happy 3 Koivu (Japan) being robbed by Caleb Hayden (Ireland) with 6.4 seconds on the clock.>

Commissioners:  Congratulations to Sweden! GMs Gunnar Söderberg (@sköldpaddor) and @gurbs, and their team have managed to bring back the gold medal to Sverige for the first time since S48.

<Quick montage of the four goals scored by Sweden in the last 15 minutes of the gold medal final. Samuelsson, Heinrich, Lind and Ekholm-Gunnarsson scored in quick succession.>

Commissioners:  Congratulations to Finland, GMs @Carpy48 and @lespoils, and the fans here. Finland not only won the silver medal at home, but also won the round robin with an impressive record of nine wins and only one loss. Our thanks to everyone here in the beautiful city of Tampere and to the Finnish fans for their passion and hospitality.

<Clips of the Finnish defence in the quarter-final against Switzerland: O'Neil clearing the net, Victory passing quickly to Kinsinger after a takeaway. Zoom in on the scoreboard at the end of the game, a 5-0 win for Finland with only 11 shots for the Swiss team.>

Commissioners: Austria won the bronze medal against Germany in one of the most exciting finals in recent years. Congratulations to GMs @Big Newff and @Ohtaay, and their team for winning the first medal for Austria in 21 years.

<Clip of Germany's Evan Winters scoring 54 seconds into the third period of the bronze medal final, the score now tied 5-5, with Steve Harrington and Jonas Kahmwald (Germany) celebrating. Cut to Austria's Yngve Simonsson scoring from behind the net to win in overtime, and all the Austrian players jumping on the ice to celebrate.>

Commissioners: This year, three players stood out as top forwards in the voting: Burlok Sulfurgold (Germany), Konstantin Selich (Germany) and Salzberger Lillehammersson (Norway).

<Clip of Sulfurgold's black and gold shirt, then a montage of their three goals against Russia at the end of the round robin. Sulfurgold then passes to Selich, who scores with a one-timer. In another clip, Selich plays a perfect saucer pass to Haschdi (Germany) as Greyson Cooper (Czechia) grabs him by the shoulder.>

Commissioners: The winner of the S68 Top Forward goes to Salzberger Lillehammersson (Norway). Lillehammersson has been exceptional throughout the tournament. First in points (19 points, tied) and first in goals (11 in 12 games) during the round-robin, Lillehammersson scored two hat-tricks. Lillehammersson also managed to get 3 points or more in four regular games. Congratulations @NorwegianDemon

<Clip of Lillehammersson passing to Mandosson (Norway). Another clip of Lillehammersson aggressively fighting for the puck along the boards against Svechnikov (Great Britain), then Lillehammersson scoring Norway's only goal against Austria in the quarter-finals.

Commissioners: The nominees for the Top Defence Award are Shion Okamoto (Japan), Eero Makela (Finland), Daryl Urquhart (Great Britain) and Jasper Maximov (Sweden).

<Clips of Urquhart stealing the puck from Marner (Latvia) and passing to Snooks (Great Britain) for a superb goal... Jasper Maximov blocks a shot from Dirty Boots (Austria) with seconds left in the semi-final... Shion Okamoto, a giant in front of his net, pushing Ty Murphy (Ireland) like a rag doll.>...

Commissioners: And the winner of the S68 Top Defence Award is... Eero Makela. Makela was the top scorer (6 goals) and the top defender (42 shots). As a member of the HOF pointed out, Makela blocked 42 shots, playing with Finland, a team that gave up few shots to begin with. Congratulations @Gifter of Bikes !

<Zoom on Makela clearing the puck in front of Harry Carpet (Finland) and then cross-checking Ivan Lacksamus (Switzerland). In another play, Makela winds up and unleashes a hard slapshot for his third powerplay goal of the game against Czechia. Another clip of Makela receiving his silver medal in person from the Finnish Prime Minister.

Commissioners: The race for the S68 Top Goalie Award was close this year. The nominees are Olof Karsikko (Germany), Rebecca Montagne (Switzerland) and Mat Smith (Finland).

<Clip of Rebecca Montagne (Switzerland), left alone in her zone, stopping three consecutive shots from Ben Jammin (Canada). Clip of Olof Karsikko making a great glove save to deny Patya Perevalov (Russia) in the shootout.

Commissioners: And the winner of the S68 Top Goalkeeper Award goes to... Mat Smith (Finland). 9 wins and 2 losses with 2 shutouts, leading the tournament with a 1.72 GAA in the round-robin, and a .935 save percentage... Smith's statistics in this championship were once again exceptional. Smith also won the S66 award and had an incredible tournament last year, winning the bronze medal. Harry Carpet (4-0-0; 0,930 S%, 1,75 GAA this tournament) and him are the first goaltenders in recent years to win gold, silver and bronze medals at three consecutive IIHF World Championships. Congratulations @Matteo!

<Quick montage of Smith's best saves, including a wrist shot from the faceoff circle by Aksel Fiske (Norway), Smith's grab of the puck inches before it crossed the line, and the standing ovation Smith received after stopping 41 shots against Canada.

Commissioners: That's it for tonight, thank you again and we hope to see you next season.

<Clip of Pavel Jeziak (USA) on a breakaway against Base Pack (Russia). Pack makes the save.

<Clip of Chimkin Wing driving towards the net, then deflecting a shot from Kriss Darzins (Latvia).

<A perfect tic-tac-toe from Mihailov, Lacksamus to St.Martin (Switzerland) leaving no chance for Larkin-Conway, McFife XVIII and Wall (Czechia).

<Max Manning (Canada) shaking hands with Luukas Lilja (Switzerland) at the end of a game. >

<Shot of the last seconds of the gold medal final. Dogwood Maple and Adelie de Pengu (Sweden) are already celebrating on the bench. With 4 seconds left on the clock, Blixtstrom and Bjerg take the ice. Jon St.Ark is already skating towards the bench...>

<Fade out.>

There are very few things I would reject from Prime Minister Sanna Marin.
