Graphic Task: Show us the cover photo for your scouting file. Must include your render, name, position and nationality.
Reward: $500,000 for doing one of the above
Only current SMJHL Draftable Free Agents (S70 SMJHL Draftees, SHL class of S71) are eligible for this bounty.

Levin Schattenaxt is a small form-factor winger from Switzerland, who has impressed scouts earlier this year during the annual national U18 tournament, where he showed his innate ability to retrieve and retain puck possession en route to a nomination to the Team of the Tournament. Schattenaxt's primary strengths are in his quickness in transition, puck handling, and positioning in the defensive end, making him a threat to counter-attack any time he's on the ice. He boasts decent vision and puck distribution ability, as well as solid balance for someone of such small stature. However, his main weakness is that he usually shies away from physical play, often staying in the periphery instead of driving the net.

Such weakness was put on display as he played a handful of games in the SMJHL prior to his draft, when he was signed by the Québec City Citadelles to add depth for their playoff run, which is currently underway. In his 10 regular season games, Schattenaxt was able to put up 5 points (1G, 4A), but he was put under physical duress, causing him to both take penalties and turn the puck over at an alarming rate, and his underlying metrics showed that he had difficulty translating his ability to drive the play to the North American circuit. Despite this, he posted an impressive 1.3 GA/60 - albeit in a small sample size - proving that he has a well-developed sense for defensive responsibility, which could prove useful to some teams looking to improve in the Goals Against column, or on the penalty kill.

While more and more rookies are declaring for the upcoming SMJHL draft, Schattenaxt seems to have made a name for himself, and currently projects to be drafted in the first round - although no real consensus can be reached as to where exactly he may end up, as defensive-minded players are not as flashy to pick early in the draft. We currently see him as a possible Top 10 pick, but we'll know more in the weeks leading up to the draft.

Adelbert Steiner is a strong-bodied two way Defender playing out of Toronto, Canada. Originally born in Manchester, England, he faced an uphill battle to ever be considering in contention for a role on the greatest stage of all, the SHL.

Overcoming the challenge of battling it out in a minor European League, Steiner showed great heart in developing his skills across the board in an attempt to prepare himself for the next level. Already showing development of excellent puck handling skills, as well as a commanding presence on both sides of the ice, Steiner profiles as a player with high potential to develop into a true workhorse for whatever team is willing to give him a shot.

One of the often overlooked facets of any player when choosing to analyse their potential as a prospect is that of their mental game. Simply put, Adelbert Steiner plays to win. He doesn't play for points, or a statline, or personal glory. He plays to see the dub on the board at the end of the game. Whether this means bringing a bolstering locker room presence, strategic designs or a rock solid steady performance on the ice, he puts his full mind behind the task at hand.

As a player, he profiles as the kind of big-bodied Dman who should excel particularly at a minor league level. The total opposite of a one trick pony, any team taking a flier on him in the Season 71 minors draft should find themselves with an immediate plug-and-play option in a D Line. If he keeps developing his positional reads and puck movement, he could turn into a generational playmaker in time.

Matt Stro is the brother of Matt Stro baseball player for the Cancun Toros in the mysterious Pro Baseball Experience League. Matt Stro was separated from Matt Stro at birth and they haven't seen each other since they were born although no pleasantries have ever been exchanged. Matt Stro is from Great Britain well known for having a singular Ice Rink in the entire country so how this league has lots of players from Great Britain must be quite farcical or some form of documentation forgery is going on.

As a playmaker Matt Stro will be looking to make plays, shocking I know and will be operating on the Right Wing being a Right Handed hitter I don't know if that is the word. He hasn't ever played Ice Hockey before which is quite bad for someone entering a draft about Hockey but he once did Ice Skating and only fell over a few times so hopefully that's enough to get some chumps to draft Matt Stro. Therefore Matt Stro is a bit of an unknown quality and realistically is likely to be the best player in the draft in terms of unskillfulnness.

I haven't looked at my height for a while might be 6ft might not be can't quite remember but apparently from what I've seen on Youtube there are a lot of fights in hockey so hopefully I have a bit of muscle otherwise some big guys might try stealing my puck or stick or whatever it's called.

I predict Matt Stro winning every title in the league including the goalie award as because I have no awareness of what any positions are, I'll be completely in the way and be playing all the positions at once which is something that has never been seen before I'm sure.

Dominik Winters is the grandson of highly successful Manhattan Rage legend Alex Winters and his ability to succeed in the upcoming draft process will mostly rely on if teams look at him for who he is as a player, if they look at the steady but unspectacular career of his father (Matej Winters of the Baltimore Platoon and former New England Wolfpack 1st round pick), or if they look at the successes of Alex (Rage 1st round pick, Jesster Trophy winner, S52 Cup Winning Goal Scorer and longtime captain of the Czech National Team). He's a big center with excellent vision, something that any team can never have too many. He's got the pedigree of a successful player, and with his mindset seemingly in a better place than his father's at the same stages in their careers, he should be someone to watch for in this upcoming draft class.

It is probably too early for him to be thinking about the SHL draft, but it will be interesting to see where he lands in the SMJHL draft. Matej spent time with Anaheim and Alex was drafted by Colorado before being traded to St. Louis (to win the 4 Star Cup). There are some new teams in the league since the last time that a Winters went through the draft process, a fact not lost on his grandfather (who is also young Dominik's agent), but he expects that Dominik should hear his name come off the board early. Should he not though, Dominik is not expected to throw an all world tantrum in the way that Gareth Rush did. Simply being drafted is an opportunity that should not be taken lightly, and any chance to play in the SMJHL and potentially make it to the SHL is a gift for each of these players.

Furious Chicken after registering for the SJHML was accepted to join the SJHML draft for S70. He was delighted by this news, and pretty soon afterwards got an offer from the Colorado Raptors who were already eliminated for the play-offs to play for them in the final few games of the season. Seeing this as a great opportunity to show his playing ability to the league Chicken didn’t think twice and decided to accept this offer and get a few games of playing in before the long wait until the draft. Now Chicken is of course still training to make sure he stays fit, and becomes a better player making use of the amazing training facilities of Raptors, and sometimes watching some SJHML play-off matches to see who the teams that are in the SJHML are. Maybe earlier than expected Chicken got the first messages from managers, and seeing the first few scouts coming along despite the draft still being quite far away, guessing this will only pick-up in intensity once the play-offs are over, and the international play start until in the end the drafts will come as the start of the new season.

During his 5 games played for the Raptors, Chicken might have not done too well. Getting 2 assists, 2 points, and a Plus/Minus of -3. While getting 7 hits, 4 blocks, and a TA/GA of 3. Chicken is hoping he is going to improve upon his stats during his first season in the SJHML. But before thinking of that let’s for now train hard to ensure that a team actually wants to pick-up Chicken in the draft.

When looking for reasons as to why Bellamy Blake will find success, one need not look far. His position, defenseman, is a perfect spot for him, as he is used to defending himself and those around him from large crises. When put in perspective, hockey seems like nothing. Now that the world has settled down and everything is somewhat back to normal, Bellamy Blake decided it was time to try the sport of hockey. It was unknown to the people of the Ark and then of the ground, but in the new society, sports are making a comeback. Blake is of Australian descent, although technically he was born in space. Dreams of reaching the ground one day turned into reality, and then into nightmares. But now that those nightmares are over, it is time to focus on hockey. Bellamy Blake's steely determination and impressive decision making under pressure will make him an attractive candidate for SMJHL GMs and scouts alike. Yet to make his professional debut, he seems to have been cut out for this sport, and envisions himself holding the Cup proudly someday, for his people. With his sister and his friends still beside him, he has a strong support team that will help Blake impress the scouts in whatever he does. Being an offensive defenseman, he looks forward to calling the shots while also protecting the zone, making an impact on both sides of the puck. He can be a leader, all the while remaining an important guardian on the ice, and he looks to turn these life skills into hockey skills. With the draft looming, it is time to train, and it's pretty much a guarantee that this will be quite the adventure!

Erik Erikson is a highly-talented right winger in hockey who is expected to do well in the SMJHL draft and the prior combine. He has spent the past 2 years in the Eliteserien, giving himself a hint of competitiveness before entering what many say is the hardest hockey league in the world. His performance on Club Storhamar has caught the eyes of many scouts even in the SHL. He was able to process 78 Points within his rookie season, 25 of those being assists, although the main focus on his game is his quick thinking and goal scoring, Erik has been regarded as an above average passer with the ability to make plays out of nothing.

With exceptional goal-scoring ability, Erik is a natural scorer who possesses great shooting accuracy, quick hands, and the ability to read the play well. Erik's speed and agility make him a threat on the rush, and is skilled at creating opprutunites for not only himself but also his teammates. Erik often isn't the main play-maker on his team, with most of his passes taking a while to contribute much, however you can see his quick thinking mind go into action on a fast break. Scouts are impressed with Erik's ability to play in high-pressure situations and his leadership qualities, making him a valuable asset to any team he joins.

With the SMJHL Playoffs coming to an end soon, Erik has been reported to be deeply studying these games, seeing how each player plays and noting on any way he can improve on his games. He is a quick learner with a tough mentality and an amazing work ethic. He should not be slept on and watched heavily in the upcoming weeks to the Draft.
