Hello, everyone. I hope that you are all healthy, happy, and that life is treating you well. It's an amazing, fun and exciting time of year, where the prospects of the league are drafted to their respective teams. Here, after all of the hype, we finally get to learn who goes where, who is a bust, who gets drafted higher, and who is the number one overall pick. We learn who the biggest climber is, who the bigger dipper is and we get to learn so much more about the prospective draft selections in this year's S72 SMJHL entry draft. All angles will be explored when it comes to our lovely SMJHL prospects and NO ONE will be safe!

This one part series is going to take a look at the money of the SMJHL prospects to see what kind of life they’re living and how much money they have currently in the bank. What we’re going to do is show the GM’s the quality of player they’re going to get when it comes to financial valuation. Money is one of the most important individual member assets in the league and is easily up there with TPE. While it is not everything, I do believe that it could be a very minor piece to the pie for what general managers look at when it comes to drafting a player. After all, a little bit of money, or a lot of money is a little better than no money because sometimes the grind can be tough. If you have a little nest egg, not always do you have to worry and are allowed to take those weeks off to enjoy the league a bit more without all the work.

What can you expect from ESS: The Richest of 72?
-> A breakdown of the S72 SMJHL’s richest prospects. A look into the lives they live m and what exactly they do with their money. PLEASE note, this is just for fun. The members have nothing to do with this and are strictly for entertainment purposes only made up by Disney and TMZ.

NOTE: Cash lists are correct at the time of writing. The top 5 breakdown is for silly entertainment and strictly for that only. No consultation of the members was done. Only strong investigative research and spying on the players were done by Disney and a TMZ who ESS hired. Please blame and direct all hate mail and spam mail to them. Thank you!

THE LIST
Updated: May 21, 2023

NOTE: The list is of S72 prospects and their SHL dollar amounts and valuations. We then use a secret recipes science experiment to calculate a players value and worth based on their earnings, money amounts, tendencies and behavior. The overall rating will then be published for each player, giving them a credit score of 1-900. This number will hopefully assist managers and scouting systems to learn more of the prospects in terms of their financial safety and risk.

Kazuchika Okada - Anchorage Armada (1st OV) @KenitohMenara
$165,503,000
[Image: 73c189fcadb35e9e407bf6f85de4d257.jpg]

The richest in the list and why the hell not? They currently have bragging rights as going first overall in the last SMJHL entry draft. They now have bragging rights for being the richest on the list. You heard it here first! Get it as a tattoo. Okada is the one we must follow. having this kind of money is an incredible nest, egg, and amount of savings. Looking on the outside of thing and not just at the jobs, they were very safe player who can enjoy their career without having to bust the table right now. It’s almost like you’re a retiree, but just starting out which is super cool. You enjoy those discounts while making millions, baby!

He has all this money, and you know it. They live a life of wealth. They have beautiful cars, a beautiful home, a beautiful family that is starting out and a beautiful dream of being one of the best players to grace the SMJHL. They constantly have on the nicest clothes, he has 16 pairs of shoes, two motorbikes, three cars and a truck and a hot tub and a pool in his backyard with a small little river attached to it. I guess if you’re going to be rich, you might as well, you know be rich. They do a very good job of it too! I think as the career progresses you’re gonna see a lot of great things because of all of this. If not, at least they lived a hell of a life and did so in style.

Rowan O’Beirne - Regina Elk (3rd OV) @Caleb
$41,168,000

The myth, the man, the legend. With over $40 million in the bank, it must feel good to have that financial stability and nest egg behind yourself. This amount of money is a very good level of money to have if you want to enjoy the sweeter things in life when it comes to our community. I feel like a little less and a little more would also fit into this category. However, this amount seems to be the optimal average that is affordable to save up to. Rowan has no risk at all, as long as they continue to gradually earn their money. Good work!

Outside of the formals, Rowan definitely does like to have his fun. Why are they trained very hard, they love to take vacations in the off-season. during these off seasons, they do take a lot of opportunities to train while they are at these locations. This makes training fun and they still get to adventure. He also has an acreage in his local town where he has upgraded their yard and surrounding areas as well as recently purchased a brand new ATV to play around the property and local forest. He also stages an annual getaway for his teams, players and wives to go to one of the more beautiful lakes in the area for a weekend of family, fun and bonding. What a great guy! Money well spent..

Bernard Lodge - Maine Timber (13th OV) @UptownCord
-$200,000
[Image: img_2896.jpg]

Just like the Drake song says, “started from the bottom now we are here”. Everyone has to start somewhere in their career and unfortunately for Bernard, they are starting in debt. Often, when you’re trying to get your goals, sometimes you have to spend some to make some. For the organization in the drafts, Mr. Lodge, they’re going to have to keep an eye on this player. What this money says is that they are not able to purchase training or equipment and have nothing in the bank just in case they miss some weeks of earnings. While having a low balance is not necessarily a very bad thing, it can be if you weren’t putting in the work to consistently have an income. This means there is a risk for player development.

Outside of this, there have been reports that Mr. Lodge has gotten a little ahead of himself, and has done some recent splurging with the news that he’s going to make it to the Junior League. He was recently seen, leaving a boat store in his local town with a brand new stacked truck, hooking up to a brand new boat. Sneaking on his socials, it also looks like he recently purchased a house and is expecting a baby with his soon to be wife. This all alone states that he is spending a lot of money. Again, it’s a fairly significant red flag, however, it doesn’t happen. The financials and valuations of this report are not 100%, but do serve as credible and accurate.

König Wolf - St. Louis Scarecrows (18th OV)
$33,601,000
[Image: funny-extravagant-senior-man-posing-260n...870589.jpg]

Mr. 18th overall to the St. Louis scarecrows, is proud to have the money that they have in the bank. It really helps when you know the right people and his agency comes with a fair bit of money. Having been in the league and established since season four, the Bana Agency is familiar with the money of the league and having a good amount.  This player comes with low risk as long as they continuously put in a decent amount of work. They have a good bit of money to last them most of their junior career and into their SHL career.  If they are doing tasks like chirps, and all of that with the odd  media, I don’t think they’re gonna struggle at all. Safe bet! Mr. Wolf was seen leaving his very own brand of hockey equipment store. He has invested his time and science into coming up with new performance equipment like stick skates, and gloves. This equipment is also affordable for younger children who want to grow up and play hockey, but can’t afford it. He has invested a lot of time and money into this. However, this isn’t to say he doesn’t have fun with his money too. Mr. Wolf owns property in Indonesia, Canada, and has recently begun, looking into owning a property in Greece. The properties in Indonesia and Greece, he rents out for Airbnb.

Burger King - Colorado Raptors (69th OV)
$500,000
[Image: blogs-the-q-king.jpg]

He’s just starting out but there’s nothing wrong with having $500,000 in the bank. When you look at the grand scheme of things, it isn’t a safety net at all. One week of training basically and you’re out of money. They’re going to have to put in the work and maybe even capitalize on double draft media week if they want to add a little nest egg to themselves. This amount is not good enough to move forward and they will have to dig a little deep to make some extra cash. I do think contracts are also going to help here. I will also add that a 500 K surplus is better than a deficit.

Not too much exciting happening here. Looks like the excitement has gone to them a little bit with the planning, however, they haven’t done massive splurge and get into their accounts. They bought some training stuff for the off-season to help them improve for the upcoming season, bought some equipment, bought their family some nice little gifts, just to celebrate the occasion, and treat them well, and have mostly just been investing their money in stocks, and such to help their career. They even invested in a new cryptocurrency, that the SHL has released called VEEECHEL COIN.
