Undeterred by the hurdles standing in his way, Fry tackled the challenges head-on, determined to see his vision through. With the city council person's zoning concerns, he dove into research, poring over regulations and zoning codes. He prepared a comprehensive proposal outlining how the new arena would comply with the restrictions, presenting a compelling case that convinced the council person to reconsider.
As for the subpar contractor hired by the team's owner, Fry recognized the potential pitfalls of cutting corners. He gathered a team of experts, including architects, engineers, and construction specialists, to assess the low bid contract. Together, they uncovered the risks and shortcomings, making a compelling argument that investing in quality construction would ensure the arena's longevity and safety.
Fry leveraged his influence within the community, rallying support from fans, local businesses, and influential figures. Armed with their backing, he negotiated with the team's owner, emphasizing the long-term benefits of hiring a reputable contractor and ensuring the arena's construction adhered to the highest standards.
Through persistence, strategic planning, and unwavering determination, Fry overcame the challenges that threatened his vision. The arena project moved forward, built with quality craftsmanship, and satisfying the zoning requirements. Baltimore would soon have its remarkable Harbor Heights Arena, a testament to the resilience and perseverance of Fry and his unwavering commitment to the Platoon and their fans.
Thank god there is no business like show business. Being in Texas, the college hockey is lackluster at best. Also because of the temperature, trying to play outdoor games is definitely a no go as well as the ice would continually melt. So what we would do is combine trailers to make a locker room. Since other places have already created this we would ask them to soup on up and combine two of them to make a super one. In this super locker room would be more of the comforts our home locker room. We would be able to combine two trailers to make a suitable locker room with lockers and area for our team to sit. We would then take a third one and make it for bathing/ massages/ hydro and ice care/ etc. We would basically build our own locker room outside and then add a temperature controlled tunnel that would go into the colleges locker room and then into the arena so the players would be comfortable. The locker room would then probably be donated to the college or an area/team that needed it once our arena was done.

I am pretty introverted most of the time and definitely not any kind of a partyer or party animal type of person so I would 100% be home and in bed pretty quickly. I do not like all the loud noises or having to socialize with people anymore than I personally choose to on my own time and being out at parties like that just ends up with a bunch of unwanted interactions that I don't instigate or start on my terms. As far as my team mates are concerned, I could not care less what they do on their own time. As long as they show up for practice and games then go have all the fun they want. It's their choice if they find that fun and engaging then who am I to say that they shouldn't enjoy themselves. Go out, have fun, just don't let it effect your on ice game or how we play as a team. Which is hasn't yet so I have no reason to believe it will.

Elena Maximova isn't really one for big parties but she enjoys being part of the gang and will occasionally go out with her teammates. After the Citadelles' big win against <INSERT TEAM HERE>, she just couldn't say no to going in the old part of the city and celebrate for a bit.
Being Slav, she can hold her alcohol pretty well, which isn't the case of some of her teammates. Even if she prefers to spend time with less people, she thought being in a packed club on a Friday night was worth it just to tape Nathan Cormier and Smurfunkel Dothe being absolutely hammered and dancing on tables. Smurfunkel tried to teach her a "norwegian traditional dance" at some point but he just fell flat on his face and started snoring. He's not exactly light so getting him back to his appartment was a more taxing workout in itself than if the team had elected to spend the evening in a gym rather than in a bar.
Ignacio Garza is not one for the larger party scenes, enjoying routine and making sure he is staying at a professional schedule. Earning the money he does compared to other careers, Garza knows that he wants to be responsible enough to his mind and body to extend his career and long-term health as much as possible. While he participates in many social events, as he genuinely enjoys the camaraderie of his teammates on the San Francisco Pride, Garza is usually not the kind to go out for the after-game ragers in the city. However, Garza does have a celebratory side, and has been known to be jovial and definitely intoxicated during his teammates and friends' birthday celebrations or weddings. Most nights, no matter the opponent and no matter the result of the game, Garza is completing his evening routine and is (hopefully) asleep by 10:00, unless there is a special circumstance or event that keeps him out later.
Thomas Liebold is very happy that they are playing in the local college rink. the local rink is very small and run down but it also only has one locker room which is reserved for the home team so the visiting team has to get dressed in their team bus, this gives us the ultimate home ice advantage. instead of retaliating against the council person we get the entire team to raise money to create a big enough bribe that he will do whatever we want. in our demands for the bribe we tell the council person that when we make the new rink it must also have only one locker room that is reserved for the home team. lastly because of this massive benefit during home games we have reached out to many of the best players on the other teams and convinced them to request a trade to come join our team and create a super team.
Jonathon Hagan would absolutely, 100%, go to the rager after a win over the team's rival (Hamilton, according to FHM). Hagan lives to party outside of his elite SHL career, so he would show up to the party ready to get absolutely smashed with the fans. In fact, he would probably use the team bar amenity after a game and pre-game the rager, before showing up and going hard. In terms of the teammates that do not show up to the rager, Hagan would think they are lame, and start blowing them up to try and get them to come out to the rager. In fact, missing 3 ragers after a rivalry win is grounds for being placed on the trade block, and Hagan keeps a meticulous list of who on the team is lame, and who is not, so he knows who to bring up to management to get rid of, if they are not partying enough.
The prospect of having to play in a smaller arena for a season with less than spectacular amenities does not bother Jarrod Lakemore in the least. Growing up playing the sport in the less than crazed hockey nation of England, Lakemore is used to playing in rinks that are poorly maintained, frequently shared, and with few spectators. Indeed coming over to the SHL and playing in some of the larger, more luxuriant arenas has been a bit of a culture shock for Lakemore and he wouldn't mind going back to a smaller home ice for a season. He knows that even 5k fans will still be able to create a great environment for their home games and Lakemore has never had much need for the fancy facilities offered by large, modern arenas. Not that he won't be taking advantage of it when the new arena eventually gets built, but for now he certainly doesn't mind playing in some older, smaller arenas that remind him of his younger playing days. You see, Adelie's feathery coat doesn't look like a fancy tuxedo just because he's a penguin. As it turns out, he also is well versed in knowing how to take care of people so to speak. I'm not saying he's a part of the mafia, I'm just saying that his homeland is nothing but ice, snow, and rocks as far as the eye can see and that is a very larger and uncharted territory that people can absolutely accidentally get lost in. Adelie loves his team, he would never leave them and he only wants what's best for them. If a single person was between him and what his team wanted, he would happily invite that person out to go sledding and ice hiking. You see his home is absolutely beautiful and exotic and he would do everything in his power to make this man happy and turn him to their side. And accidentally disappear him in the process!
