For Team North America, we are proud to announce the following roster!

Forwards

@Agent_Smith_009 : Dylan Jacob-Smith
Center
SMJHL Team: Newfoundland Berserkers Berserkers
SHL Team Rights: Seattle Argonauts Argonauts
S72: 22G | 35A | 110 hits | 53 GvA | 37 TkA | 50 SB

Jacob-Smith played for the Berserkers last season, and this is his second season with the team. His play impressed both SHL and SMJHL managers and team HOs enough to where he earned a contract and was drafted to the Seattle Argonauts. Sitting at 265 TPE, he will probably be the 1st or 2nd line center for team North America. Expect Dylan Jacob-Smith to anchor that line; if his last SMJHL season was a good indication of his play, expect some good numbers from him during this tournament.

@fubaguy : Bobby Tkachuky
Center
SMJHL Team: Yukon Malamutes Malamutes
SHL Team Rights: Toronto North Stars Stars
S72: 25G | 40A | 76 hits | 55 GvA | 33 TkA | 11 SB

As a rookie for the Malamutes, Bobby Tkachuky has had a really good rookie season for Yukon, enough so that he was drafted 8th OA to the Toronto North Stars this season. Currently sitting at 264 TPE, he will also be either the 1st or 2nd line center for team North America, hopefully inspiring some friendly competition between him and Dylan Jacob-Smith who will battle for the 1C spot.

@Mazatt : Roger Murdock
Center
SMJHL Team: Carolina Kraken Kraken
SHL Team Rights: Draft eligible
New Player

Roger Murdock is a newly drafted player to the Carolina Kraken. There isn't much on this player so far as he has mostly been playing in double A leagues. This is his first World Juniors competition, and he will have a chance to impress the Kraken, and his future SHL team this season. Sitting at 214 TPE, he will be our 3rd line center for the duration of the competition, and we’re very excited to give him the chance to prove himself to teams that can potentially draft him soon.

@Wind Savon : Pierre Mailloux
Center
SMJHL Team: Newfoundland Berserkers Berserkers
New Player

Also a newly drafted player to the Newfoundland Berserkers, Pierre Mailloux will also have a chance to prove himself at this tournament and to push for a higher spot in the Berserkers lineup. He will be our 4th line center, but it is possible he may also play as a winger depending on how we go on to set up and change the lines throughout the competition.

@CloudRobot : Mac Turner
Left Wing
SMJHL Team: Regina Elk Elk
SHL Team Rights: Toronto North Stars Stars
S72: 14G | 31A | 183 hits | 37 GvA | 31 TkA | 70 SB

Mac Turner will be a player who will contribute quite a lot to Team North America this season. Recently being drafted to Toronto North Stars, he is sitting at the mid 200’s TPE, and will be on the 2nd or 3rd line for us this Tournament. He will most definitely showcase his great abilities that got him drafted and hopefully put up some good hits.

@’Kieran Kovalev’ : Kieran Kovalev
Left Wing
Retired from the SMJHL
S72: 22G | 24A | 211 hits | 50 GvA | 37 TkA | 47 SB

After his last season in Quebec City Citadelles, Kieran is now retired. But during his tenure there, he was a decent player for QCC. In his final tournament, he will show other leagues around the world what he can do. With 231 applied TPE, he will be an excellent addition to the 3rd line for us.

@Velekry : Patrick Meyer
Left Wing
SMJHL Team: Nevada Battleborn Battleborn
SHL Team Rights: None
S72: 9G | 23A | 112 hits | 35 GvA | 29 TkA | 27 SB

Patrick Meyer had a bumpy season last season with the Battleborn. Stuck on the 4th line, he did not get a lot of looks, and with limited playing time, he could not show his full potential. With Team North America, with 216 TPE applied, he will also be on the 3rd line, which brings a lot of opportunities given North America’s history as underdogs in the WJC. We picked him for North America with the belief that having him play for us will allow him to showcase his talent and earn a spot in the SHL. He is only at the beginning of his career, and will show his potential for success in this tournament.

@AK41 : Jordan Thompson
Right Wing
SMJHL Team: Maine Timber Timber
SHL Team Rights: New Orleans Specters Specters
S72: 21G | 40A | 197 hits | 44 GvA | 33 TkA | 36 SB

Jordan Thompson will have a chance to be a breakout player for Team North America. Drafted by the Specters 20th OA last season, this will be his first showcase of play after being drafted, and we know he will show his talents that got him drafted in the first place. He will likely be playing on the 1st line as well.

@Coswi : Entropy Sanchez
Right Wing
SMJHL Team: Newfoundland Berserkers Berserkers
SHL Team Rights: None
S72: 28G | 38A | 206 hits | 67 GvA | 26 TkA | 10 SB

Entropy Sanchez had a breakout season last season for the Berserkers, and so he will expect to be a major player for Team North America this season. Sitting at 227 TPE, he will be an anchor on the 2nd line, and we see him putting up some big numbers for the team, which could even earn him a spot on the first line.

@Justice : Roman Roy
Right Wing
SMJHL Team: Newfoundland Berserkers Berserkers
SHL Team Rights: Los Angeles Panthers Panthers
S72: 27G | 32A | 174 hits | 45 GvA | 28 TkA | 22 SB

Roman Roy, recently drafted by the Panthers, also had an amazing rookie season with the Berserkers. He will be getting a lot of ice time on this roster. Expect him to be a clutch player for Team North America, with a very versatile role. Sitting at 240 TPE, he will likely be on the 1st line, but may also play not only on the 3rd line but on the power play as well

@Takk806 : Xavier Beausoleil
SMJHL Team: Colorado Raptors Raptors
SHL Team Rights: Minnesota Monarchs Monarchs
S72: 30G | 43A | 264 hits | 66 GvA | 34 TkA | 24 SB

Xavier Beausoleil will also be a major player. He is a high draft pick, getting drafted 3rd OA to the Minnesota Monarchs. With 30 goals in 66 games played, and over a point per game on his record last season, he will be on the 1st line for Team North America. With 264 applied TPE, he will also be a clutch player for us.

@TonyW19 : Ryland Murphy
SMJHL Team: Quebec City Citadelles Citadelles
SHL Team Rights: Calgary Dragons Dragons
S72: 17G | 45A | 267 hits | 50 GvA | 35 TkA | 46 SB

The definition of a playmaker is how Ryland Murphy can be described. With an amazing rookie season for the Citadelles, Murphy was rewarded with being drafted to the Calgary Dragons in the offseason. Like the other S73s, this will be the 1st time they will showcase their skill after being drafted. So be on the lookout for Ryland for Team North America!

Defensemen

@Coburnicus87 : Wes Thunderbass
Left Defense
SMJHL Team: Newfoundland Berserkers Berserkers
SHL Team Rights: Tampa Bay Barracuda Barracuda
S72: 6G | 20A | 92 hits | 6 GvA | 56 TkA | 159 SB

Wes Thunderbass will be an important player for Team North America, especially in the shot blocking areas where he has the highest amounts of shots blocked on the team in S72. Drafted to the Barracuda, he will have a great opportunity to showcase his skills on the defensive end. Sitting at 305 applied TPE, he will be on the 1st pairing for us, playing a significant role for us.

@CptSquall : Brooklyn Physt
Left Defense
SMJHL Team: Kelowna Knights Knights
SHL Team Rights: Toronto North Stars Stars
S72: 8G | 20A | 115 hits | 13 GvA | 61 TkA | 116 SB

Drafted 5th overall to the Toronto North Stars, Brooklyn Physt comes from a long line of defensemen. He had a decent rookie season with the Kelowna Knights, but this WJC will have him showcase what he has achieved in the offseason, and show off to the world what he will do next season. Sitting at 271 TPE, he will also be an anchor on our 2nd pairing.

@schennemy : Leon Rizzton
Left Defense
SMJHL Team: Maine Timber Timber
SHL Team Rights: Texas Renegades Renegades
S72: 6G | 30A | 93 hits | 15 GvA | 48 TkA | 141 SB

Drafted back in S72, 48th OA to the Texas Renegades, Leon Rizzton excelled in the SMJHL last season. Rizzton was moved from Vancouver, his original SMJHL draft team, to the Timber, which proved to only elevate his success, even as he recovered from a very personal injury. Expecting to play in a defensive role, Rizzton will be a very useful shutdown defenseman for us.

@cly : Rocky Orwell
Right Defense
SMJHL Team: Kelowna Knights Knights
SHL Team Rights: New England Wolfpack Wolfpack
S72: 9G | 25A | 99 hits | 16 GvA | 61 TkA | 148 SB

Drafted in the 1st round in S72, Rocky Orwell will also be a key player for team North America. With the Knights last season, he played well and his stats for his playstyle are in a good position. Sitting at 350 TPE, he is one of the best players on the roster. He is also good friends with Leon Rizzton, which should add some chemistry to the team.

@Possum Queen : Jaden Tanner
Right Defense
SMJHL Team: Vancouver Whalers Whalers
SHL Team Rights: Calgary Dragons Dragons
S72: 5G | 25A | 112 hits | 32 GvA | 61 TkA | 86 SB

Jaden Tanner will round out our defense very well. Tanner was drafted to the Calgary Dragons, and the user behind Tanner is currently Calgary’s co-gm. Also sitting at 350 TPE, Tanner and Orwell will be an amazing pairing together, if they choose to be on the same pairing. If not, either way they will be key to winning the gold.

@SmittyHextall : Nik Smith
Right Defense
SMJHL Team: Colorado Raptors Raptors
SHL Team Rights: Tampa Bay Barracuda Barracuda
S72: 6G | 13A | 107 hits | 21 GvA | 56 TkA | 150 SB

Nik Smith, recently drafted in the 3rd round of the Tampa Bay Barracuda, will get his chance to prove the haters wrong. He played a limited role with the Colorado Raptors last season, but this tournament he will get to showcase his abilities and capabilities some more. With 251 applied TPE, he will round out our defense very well.

Goalies

@linsangeles : Wayne Holloway
Goalie
SMJHL Team: Detroit Falcons Falcons
SHL Team Rights: Manhattan Rage Rage
18 wins | 4.14 GAA | .898 SV%

One of the 2 main goalies for Team North America, Wayne Holloway had a tough season with the Detroit Falcons, through no fault of his own, sporting a .898 SV%. We expect Holloway to have a better time in the Competition and show his true skill as a netminder, especially with North America’s tendency to be underdogs; this will likely bring an extra competitive spirit to not only Holloway but the whole Team.

@WubbaLubbaDubDub184 : Kyle Baretto
Goalie
SMJHL Team: St. Louis Scarecrows Scarecrows
SHL Team Rights: Minnesota Monarchs Monarchs
21 wins | 3.47 GAA | .893 SV%

The other main goalie for Team North America, Baretto has had a great season with the Scarecrows. Baretto will be splitting the playing time with Holloway throughout the Tournament, and this goalie tandem should prove to be pretty solid for NA.

I’m really excited to get started and I’m grateful for the opportunity to manage the team (my first gig). I know that @luke and I are both hoping for a great tournament! ORANGE GETS GOLD!
