Hello everyone to my very important, must read, hard hitting, draft recap. This is the center for hard hitting news about everyone here. It’s also a QCC rookie love letter essentially.
Okay have fun reading, or don’t, idk if it’s good to read or not. 1. Calgary Dragons - Frøya Solberg - Center - Quebec City Citadelles User: NaomiMannequeen Froya was known to be the first overall way before the draft began, even if she was reluctant to actually admit it. With her activity before her player was even in the J outshining most players it’s really no wonder she’d end up first overall. Her rookie numbers speak for themselves with a respectable 30 goals and nearly 60 points in her rookie season. Already with a bank of 16 million as a new create, and a max-earning 372 TPE at the time of the draft, unless we see a huge collapse, this could turn out to be the best new create in a long time, if not SHL history. It’s hard to explain for those outside QCC just the sheer dedication Naomi brings, but her being in the draft stream of both her first J draft, and her first SHL, should be a good indication. The clear #1 overall and anyone who didn’t have her there in their mocks was either not paying attention or absolutely insane 2. Manhattan Rage - Céleste Desjardins - Left Wing - Quebec City Citadelles User: skyhawk The best J rookie of all time if we look at the sim. Setting records and for some reason having a huge amount of hits, which is one of the reasons we can’t truly trust FHM stats because no way a defensive liability like Celly gets 166 hits that’s too many. What they did do is set the rookie scoring record. An absolute madman on the ice, they are shaping up to be one of the best scorers the sim has ever seen. After some insane “analyst” were saying they weren’t even first round, they showed everyone truly what new creates can do if they set their mind to it. Not much separates Froya and Celeste. The only reason I can think that Naomi gets put ahead is the draft streams and site job, but Celly has made it clear that money will not be an issue, already amassing nearly 13 million in the bank, and 351 TPE. Everything I said about Naomi applies to Celly as well, an insanely active, absolute gem of a person, Manhattan will be over the moon with their selection here at second overall 3. Seattle Argonauts - Will Tomlander - Left Wing - Detroit Falcons User: roastpuff The first recreate of the draft, and what a pick for Seattle at #3. We knew this draft was deep but it’s amazing that roastpuff would drop to 3 and it not even a surprise for anyone. Nearly 130 MILLION in the bank, he could stop earning money and still have enough to max earn for who knows how long, someone could probably do the math but not me I’m not smart enough for that. A very solid year for him in the J just compounds how good he could be. This was the safest pick for Seattle to make, and it was by far the best pick they could as well. It’s hard to see roastpuff not maxearn for his whole career unless something major came up in life. I hope he sucks at fantasy though(please don’t pick who I want when our next turn comes up you’re right in front of me) 4. Montreal Patriotes - Peanut - Left Defense - Great Falls User: Chevy The first pick I got wrong in my mock draft, I had a feeling he would go here, I had him slotted in but I decided to just go with PyroAlpaca’s mock and I’ll never forgive him for that. Just kidding he’s great. Anyways back to the player. 133 million in the bank, you mag ask why i said Tomlander was the safest and best pick, well, Chevy now has a kid to worry about. Life is the main obstacle for SHL max earning and it’ll be interesting to see if he’s able to keep it up or if his kids gonna be too much. I have no doubt that Chevy will still be able to max earn and I think Montreal did a great pick with this. 5. Tampa Bay Barracuda (via ) - Dag-Otto Björntjänst - Center - Carolina Kraken User: Kenvald Oh boy the banks just KEEP going up. This draft is absolutely insane. Reportedly after having the highest TPE of all time on his last player, it’s mind blowing that he falls to 5th overall and no one bats an eye. I don’t know much about Kenvald but I do know the Tampa Bay GM and I can only imagine he’d draft the best people possible, so through the transitive property or whatever we learned in math, this man is an amazing person and an amazing pick. 6. Montreal Patriotes (via ) - Emil Karlsson - Center - Detroit Falcons User: dankoa This bum only has half the bank of the person draft above him… which still lands him 82 million in the bank, we’re starting to get to people I do not know much about so the blurbs are going to be smaller. I’ve heard nothing but good things about dankoa, besides the fact that he’s on the Falcons. Montreal is hoping that he’s one of the keys to earn their first cup 7. Seattle Argonauts (via , via ) - Squidwardo Tentacles - Left Wing - Yukon User: TheOPSquid This was Tampa Bays pick before it was traded to Seattle, and now we’re back to understandable bank accounts. There was some talk of him first overall but it didn’t wind up happening. Squid is an extremely talkative guy, and someone you just like being around so Seattle will be more than happy to get him at 7th overall. His only downside is he’s being mentored by HFFO as his captain in Yukon, that dudes a bum. 8. Winnipeg Aurora (via ) - Juan Tymer - User: ThePyroAlpaca What an absolute stud this man is. My defensive partner in QCC, and eventually my teammate on Latvia, it’ll be a joy playing with him more often. Me and Pyro didn’t create defensive Latvian partners but it turned out we were drafted to QCC together and since then we’ve made it our mission to become the greatest D partnership Latvia, and the world has ever seen. Pyro as a person is also great, he’s the oldie of our QCC rookie group as he’s like fifty years old or something and seems to have the most reason out of all us. He is a great role model for the other rookies even if he is also a new create. I’m not sure what else to say about this absolute king, another amazing new create, another great friend, and an amazing defensive partner to have with me. He also told us he was going 8th and went 8th so more TPE and that’s always fun. 9. Minnesota Monarchs - Bartholomew Chungus Gingersnap III - User: thedangazone Not sure how TDZ fell this far, one of the ancient ones of this site, and someone who does literally everything. If he was gone this site would fall apart… probably at least. He’s also online doing stuff, and that stuff is super important. The only issue is that almost everyone had Gibbles here in their mock draft but you know, whatever. 10. New England Wolfpack (via ) - Teal'c - User: DELIRIVM I’m going to be honest I know absolutely nothing about DELIRIVM. Probably a good pick for the Wolfpack. 11. Buffalo Stampede (via ) - Sergey Ivanov - User: Arctic Once again, someone I don’t know a whole lot about. Only sitting at 2 million in his bank his earning will have to increase. From what I hear he’s a super nice and super active user so once that bank goes up it’ll be all set for the Stampede 12. Calgary Dragons (via ) - Sonja Solberg - User: Tsunny What an absolute stud, the Calgary flames trading up to pick 12 to grab the second Solberg twin. The two wanted to play together and Calgary let that happen, other GMs were respectful about them asking and allowed her to fall this far too even if she could have easily been selected Top 5 as well. Sonja might be the most underrated player in this draft(besides me of course) and will absolutely light up the SHL when she gets there. The activity she has brought to QCC has been immense. I was expecting a team to snipe Sonja earlier because letting her fall to 12 seems like a disservice to her abilities and her potential. Similarly to Arctic, she’ll just have to focus on earning a bit more and she will an absolutely unstoppable force for the Dragons when she gets up there. And she knows how to defender unlike a certain other QCC rookie who got picked in a spot with a “2” in it *cough* celly *cough* 13. Chicago Syndicate – Cal Juice - User: caltroit_red_flames eepoJuice: My new teammate, I haven’t interacted with him much in the Chicago server yet but from what I gave he’s an gem of a person. eepoJuice: 14. Minnesota Monarchs (via ) - Gordon-William Gibbles - User: SpartanGibbles The liar of the draft, he told us he was going 9th and turned out he went 14th. I can not believe he would do this us and make us lose out on our sweet sweet TPE. Gibbles played an immense amount in Minnesota and it’s no surprise that he winds up back there. He will most likely be an amazing pick again for Minnesota and probably spend his whole career there. Unless he finally realIes the state of Minnesota is extremely boring and is vastly overrated… 15. Montreal Patriotes (via ) - Mikkel Enevoldsen - User: Rabidsponge21 The controversial pick in the draft, after landing on many Do Not Draft lists and being ousted from the Season 74 after, certain comments pertaining to women, it was interesting to see this pick happen. If we ignore those rather important bits though he could be great for Montreal who’s still trying to go on and win their first cup after failing for many seasons(a bunch of which I was involved in but the failures were definitely not my fault guys ok…. Blame uhhhhhh blame Brick Wall. Always blame the goalie) 16. Atlanta Inferno - Paul Bondage - User: CaptainCamel What a name, the Bondage man goes to Atlanta. I don’t know Camel too well but we were told that he was going 16th, don’t know where that information came from but it was correct. Thanks for the TPE! 17. Winnipeg Aurora (via , via ) - User: Langston Hardison-Laurent - Jexter Winnipeg trades their picks for another pick in this deep first round, none of the picks traded were their original picks, Another user I haven’t interacted with much, I’ve heard many good things about Jexter. Once again though the issue is HFFO is his captain in Yukon so hopefully he gets out of that toxic environment. Or maybe hffo is nicer to other new users than he was to me… sadge… 18. New England Wolfpack - Troy McClure IIII - User: Troy_McClure03 Is it 3 Is or 4? Why didn’t he do IV? These are questions that need to be answered. He has a huge bank for someone who dropped this far and will most likely be a great steal for the Wolfpack. I ain’t forgive the IIII instead of IV 19. Philadelphia Forge - Marek Carda - User: ibuprofenaddict I honestly know nothing about this player at all. He seems pretty active and I haven’t heard anything bad so most likely a good pick! 20. Philadelphia Forge (via ) - Leonard Wood - User: MuNK22 And… once again. A player I barley know. munk has been super active however and right before the draft asked which Leo would be drafted first. You I guess. You win. I hope you’re happy with yourself. Great pick for Philly though, an extremely active new create at 20 is something you can only dream of (I’m still tbe better Leo though you don’t even go by Leo.) Okay everyone, I was going to do multiple rounds but I honestly have no energy left, and there’s so many people I don’t know that I don’t want to do y’all a disservice. Big shoutout to all my QCC rookies who made it, and especially Abdi Smokes who joined late but has put in all the effort needed to grow her bank and TPE total. Honestly could be the steal of the draft who got underrated because of creating midway through the season. It’s been absolutely amazing having you around and I’m very glad Ramen noticed you. John Patey V2 is a great man as well even if we barely interact. All my interactions with him have been positive so I have absolutely nothing to complain about with you. My man Shawn Pawn, Dwight Knight, he wouldn’t give us any mock information so a bit upset about that but he’s a great guy as well, nothing negative to say about him except the fact that we maybe could’ve gotten more TPE if you just told us exactly what your draft plan was SMH. I think… that is all the QCC rookies, if I forgot you. I’m sorry I am stupid and silly. Goodbye now Give monies please
