Following in his Father's Footsteps (2X draft media)

Thomas Hudson, son of former Texas Renegades forward Eric Hudson, has declared himself eligible for the upcoming SMJHL Draft.  Thomas was born in Dallas, TX during his father's time with the Renegades, though he currently resides in Oregon, where the elder Hudson moved after retirement. Like many children of pro hockey players, Thomas was in skates before he could walk and has been skating and playing from a young age.  After a successful Junior stint with the Portland Winterhawks, Thomas looks to follow his father into the professional ranks.

Eric Hudson played forward for the Texas Renegades for seven seasons, winning two Challenge Cup Championships along the way.  Eric also won two gold medals with Team USA, one juniors and one senior tournament.  Thomas also hopes to follow his father's footsteps and represent the Stars and Stripes.

Whether he ends up in Texas or not, those of us in Dallas will surely watch with interest as the next generation of Hudson enters the league.
