SHL Historical Society Needs YOU! Job Position Available!
#1

<div align="center">Simulation Hockey League Historic Preservation Organization!

Who Am I Looking For?
I'm looking for highly motivated individuals to help complete this project up to S9. I need these to be done before the end of September or you will not get paid the $5M offered for your services.

What do you have to do?
Since the sim is challenged in terms of recording our leagues player history and history in general is either left out or incorrectly calculated. That means this has to be manually done if we want to preserve many of the historical feats our players work so hard to achieve.

What is this for?
Career Stats Center: http://theshl.b1.jcink.com/index.php?showt...=0&#entry215835

Work load?
A lot of repetitive number crunching (At least until we get EVERY player created and up to date). About half the teams are finished at this point up to S9 rosters.

How do I apply?
Send me a PM and let me know which team you're interested in doing and why you are a good choice to complete this project in a timely fashion.</div>

How do I know what to do if I get the job?
I created a handy How to guide showing you how to correctly format, input and succeed as a SHL Scribe. You got this bro, I have the faith. You can check out the guide below, I will share it with everyone.

<div align="center">How-to Scribe</div>

1. Adding Player Pages
On each team page you will notice a player template and goalie template. Right click on the page title at the bottom, select Duplicate Page. Rename it with the player you are adding.

2. Player Formulas (Do not need to change)
For Skaters - PTS, Shooting %, Face offs Total are all formulas and should not be touched.
For Goalies - Save %, Goals Against Average, and Penalty Shot Saves are all formulas and should not be touched.

3. Awards & All-Star Appearances
For Awards - If the player has earned any of the official SHL awards they should be written down. (Ex. S5 Sarmad Khan Trophy, S3 Mike Honcho Trophy)

<div align="center">SHL Award History Thread
NWJHL Award History Thread</div>
For All-Star Appearances - If the player made an appearance in any all-star game record it. (Ex. S1 All-Star, S5 All-Star)

<div align="center">Spreadsheet Formating</div>

3a. Adding Rows
You will need to add a row each new season that player has played. To add a row click on the row in which you want to add a row underneath, select 'insert 1 below'.

3b. Junior Seasons
All NWJHL Seasons should be noted in the Seasons column and the entire row of statistics should be italicized.

3c. TOTALS
At the bottom of both playoffs and regular season the total career stats are calculated, these are all formulas and should not be changed. In the case of needing to add another row to the formula you have 2 options:

1) Click on the cell in the 'TOTAL' row that needs to be changed, a green highlight will show up around the cells in the range that are used in the formula. Click and hold the bottom right corner of the last cell in the formula and drag it down to the new row, hit enter.

2) Click on the cell in the 'TOTAL' row that needs to be changed, in the text box near the top change the range in which the cells show. Example: =SUM(C9:C13) -> =SUM(C9:C14).

3d. Colors
Every other row should be shaded (Third color box from the top right, a light gray). This makes it easier to view the stats from season to season.

Formatting is based off of NHL.com player stat pages. http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=84741...id=nhl-keymatch

4. Column/Row sizes
All Rows: Size 17
Column - Season: 80
Column - Team: 200
Column - Stats: 40
Columns - Goalies GAA, SV%, PSS: 55
Columns Special - Skaters Shot %: 50

Bookmarks
Whatever browser you use it would be beneficial to create a folder in your bookmarks specifically for working on player stats. I created one for myself and here are the links I have saved within the folder to easily jump season to season for statistics. I recommend following each link and bookmarking them into your created folder, it will save you time and frustration.

Player Finding
When searching for the player it is helpful to use the find feature. Hit Control+F and copy the players name, it will highlight that text found on the webpage.

Then this job is not for you cockroach!

Kidding. I need help guys, its big pay. $5,000,000 smackers. Half teams are finished and I want to get this streamlined into one incredibly awesome epic collection (Well two, actively playing and retired players) spreadsheets where anyone can view any current players career. Hopefully eventually tie it into a website of sorts but for now the spreadsheets are still might kick ass!

You did a great job with the Jets so I'm all for it. Let me just see if theres enough interest out there for anyone else to get a chance to make that $5M first. I will let you know tomorrow Mexico, Thank you.
