Texas RenegadesTeam Awards
It’s the day after I hit submit and the site was down version of the Texas Renegades Team awards!
We’re back in business and business is exactly what Texas has been taking care of the past couple of seasons!
Last season was our absolute best since @Anthique and I took over and we are far from done!
But before we get into the future, let’s look at what our team accomplished last season!
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Texas Renegades "Sharpshooter" Award
(most goals this season)
In Texas, a sharpshooter is a name given to one who is quick with their pistols or highly skilled in shooting their weapon!
We of course have a player who is highly skilled at shooting pucks with their stick and thus they are the Texas Renegades “Sharpshooter”.

Your Texas Renegade "Sharpshooter" this season is:
David-Arturri Donskoi - @LarryTheMVP

That’s my DAD! With 48 goals this season, Donskoi set a career high and proved that he was the Renegades Goal Scorer for the season!
With DAD now hitting regression a bit harder will he manage to hit 50 at somepoint?
Hard to say right now but he truly found the chemistry with Mads McBride and was able to light the lamp when needed!

—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Renegades The Texas Renegades "Wheel Horse" Award Renegades
(most assists this season)

In Texas, a right hand man or pal is known as a wheel horse! Given that this award is for most assists, I think we can all call that guy our right hand man!

Your Texas Renegades "Wheel Horse" this season is:
Mads McBride - @NJBadApple

This season was McBride’s first full season with the Renegades! Last season McBride stepped in and quickly found chemistry with Donskoi but now with a full season on the team,
McBride made his point as to why the Renegades went after him at the trade deadline and he’s become a huge part of the team.
Here he was on top of the team with assists with 61! You know what else he accomplished?

—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Renegades The Texas Renegades "Ranahan" Award  Renegades
(most points this season)

Another name for the best cowboy or most experienced cowboy is Ranahan.
Given that this award is going to the player who got the most points in a season, it’s fitting to call that person the top cowboy or “Ranahan”!

Your Texas Renegades "Ranahan" this season is:
Mads McBride - @NJBadApple

With 101 points, Mads McBride was the top earner in points this season for the Texas Renegades!
Once again, McBride proves that he is a big part of the Renegades in a big way! It’s incredible how quick he caught up to speed on a different team and made a big impact.
What’s that? How else did McBride make an impact?

—------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Texas Renegades "Fantobens Force" Award
(most hits this season)

Named after precious Joseph Fantobens, this award goes to the player with the most hits in a season. Joseph Fantobens was known for getting out there and crushing the body.
For four straight seasons (S60-S63) Fantobens had over 300 hits a season. During those seasons he combined for a total of 1281 hits which is absolutely insane.
To remember those bone crushing hits, we have named this award after him!

The Texas Renegade earning this seasons "Fantobens Force" award is:
Mads McBride - @NJBadApple

Not only was McBride the points and assists leader, he was also the leader in hits with 148!
That was also enough to be 5th best in the league! McBride is a complete player and really brings everything to the ice.
He’s going to score on you and line you up for a big hit on the ice. What a guy!

—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Texas Renegades "Puoli Pulverizer" Award
(most shots blocked)

Puolivalmiste played an integral part in Texas’s success. They organized and managed the team into a force and led them to two challenge cup victories, season 59 and season 62.
Puoli is a very well respected user in the SHL and is an absolute wealth of knowledge. The “Puoli Pulverizer” Award goes to the player with the most shots blocked,
a stat well loved by GMs and their players sacrifice the body to win the game!

The Texas Renegade earning the "Puoli Pulverizer" Award is:
Hodor! - @bbjygm

Hodor!

We’re getting to the point where we should just rename this award to the Hodor!
Since Hodor was called up, he has recorded 300+ shots blocked every season except for his rookie season where he blocked just shy of that at 291!
I truly believe that Hodor has set a new standard for new defenseman entering the league. Always being 1st or 2nd on the leaderboard for shots blocked (first again this season)
and a fantastic and reliable fantasy pick every season, we are starting to see so many more defenseman with a similar build and style.
Now with several Bojo nominations and a win, Hodor has proven why he’s the best at what he does.

—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Texas Renegades "Buckaroo" Award  Renegades
(most underrated)

This is a new award starting in S70! Replacing the Texas “Varmint” award for most penalty minutes,
we wanted to have an award for a player on the team who performed very well but also may have flown under the radar.
Everyone loves a Buckaroo!

The Texas Renegades "Buckaroo" this season is:
James Dion - @Leatherneckmike

Dion has been an incredible player for the Renegades while also being very much under the radar.
While only floating around 1100 TPE, they have managed to find themselves a playmaking style that netted them a career high 52 assists which was the 2nd most on the team
and getting a total of 64 points on the season! They sat on the wing with McBride and DAD and fit right in.
It’s a proven point that you don’t need 1600+ TPE to be a really good player but having the right stats and skills and probably some good linemates
can really make a difference! You had an excellent season Dion and you were constantly showing up in the three stars of the game!
Thanks for your hard work on your player and we can’t wait to see what you can bring this season!

—------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Renegades The Texas Renegades "Drag Rider" Award  Renegades
(top performing Goaltender)

This award is also the winner of the coolest award name. A Drag Rider is a cowboy who rides at the rear of the herd.
Given that the goalie sits at the back, they are indeed the Texas Renegade “Drag Rider”.

The Texas Renegades "Drag Rider" this season is:
Anthony Dionne - @Anthique

Anthique takes this one again as he’s been our ride or die goalie since Kavanagh left the team!
But there’s a lot to acknowledge this time around. Antique had his career best season posting a career tying best at 0.902 save percentage
and an amazing 2.86 Goals against average with only 155 goals against on the season!
Dionne had some of the best stats for a true starting goaltender this season and is doing his best to prove the goalie TPE does matter!
Can’t wait to see your game between the pipes in this upcoming season!

Renegades Renegades Renegades

That’s it for awards! Lots of familiar faces but that’s not a problem! Everyone does their part on this team and it shows in the Renegades stats!
We have a very exciting team to watch and a very complete team that’s working hard to get it done!
This season we seen ourselves working our way up the playoff ladder to the conference finals which has been our best run in ages.
Keep watching to see the Renegades really find their stride as we continue to get better and put this league to the test!

TEX TEX TEX

Thanks for reading! And congratulations to all our amazing Renegades!

I saw that you forget about the Honcho, but since I just informed you that I got it, I forgive you Tongue
Also yeah goalie TPE don't matter, but I'm still the leader in TPE for goalie so that might help a bit?

Congrats on all the Renegades for this amazing season, but the job is not completly done so let's get back to work!
