KEZ' S77 MOCK DRAFT TOP 10 probably 50% wrong

With the new format Mock Top 10 this season, it will be both easier and harder to get some TPEs. Easier because you don't have to get the order right, but harder because this is a very deep draft class for top earners. By my count there are already 25 or so players over 300 TPE with a few more still to claim their new season Training Camp and Coaching, and get those last minute Deep Dives in. So that means there are max earners who will fall to the 2nd round. Possibly unfair to them but for SHL teams without a top 10 pick, you will get some huge steals in the latter part of the 1st rd and early 2nd.

But without further ado, let's have a look at who the Kez Scouting Agency has earmarked as the top 10 this Draft.

1. Gwendolyn Telenn -      @Revontulete

Telenn made a big splash in the SMJHL Draft when Nevada made a trade up to 1st to bring her to the team. She's
not slowed down and has done every PT possible to keep the TPE earnings up. A hugely positive and fun presence
in the LR, as well as already nabbing some SHL jobs, there seems to be no worries for future commitment. This
is also probably the easiest TPE you'll ever earn as EDM has already leaked that they are picking her.

2. Swedish Chef -        @DrunkenTeddy

It seems a no-brainer here, Teddy's a huge presence on the site as well as having a history of really good players. He might not be the most active on Discord etc but there's no denying the potential he has to become a franchise player. he has max earned all season and currently sits #2 on the TPE leaderboard. I reckon he's also probably the only player that a team would make the trade up to #2 to nab if it was available, so either MTL picks him or somebody trades up to pick him. It would be ludicrous to think he'd fall out of the top 10 so I reckon this is almost as safe a pick as you can make!

3. Sam Volta -      @Tripl3tsGamer

The second first-gen on the list. Volta burst onto the scene with a hugely active presence and has been a big voice and leader in keeping the Rookie Discord active. But more than that, he followed it up on the ice having an incredible rookie season with the expansion San Diego Tidal franchise, one of the favorites to win the Rookie of the Year. He's motivated to keep getting better and better and has the potential to be an all-star forward if he keeps going the way he has been.
With 3 different teams having double picks in the top 10, I can for sure see one of them snapping him up early.

4. AT-AT Wøllker  -        @Muerto

If you are a rebuilding team looking for a franchise defender to anchor your blueline in the future, this is a player you would consider. From picks 4-6 you have Seattle, Chicago, and Winnipeg all in differing stages of a rebuild. Adding a player with a high ceiling and a user with a vast array of experience in the league would make sense for any of them.

5. Theo Kane  -        @NONAME

Theo Kane is a name historians might be familiar with as he was recently named #5 in the SHL Top 75, but this
is a different Theo Kane, and a different user. NONAME was the agency behind the great Bo Kane, an amazing player from the S49 Draft. A high-earning player in the top 5 TPE earners of this class, Kane has potential to be a future all-star. Again, with the teams in the 4-6 range in a rebuild phase, selecting a user with a proven track record is the safe and smart play.

6. Hockey Player -      @Ruggsy

A generic name here but certainly a fantastic player and user. Obviously the Agency has produced some great players over the years but to get someone generally super cool and helpful is a boon! Hockey Player has to be someone that teams picking in this range would be drooling over as he is a Center which is an extremely important position. Definitely someone who could be relied upon to make a huge contribution as part of a future core.

7. Yuri Boyka III    -        @soulja

Boyka III was an incredible steal for Nevada in the SMJHL Draft, selected 42nd overall. He has since risen to become one of the top 10 TPE earners. Perhaps SMJHL GMs can be forgiven for not recognizing this returning user, as soulja's last player was an S51 Draftee. But SHL GM's tend to have a longer memory, and will probably recall the excellence of players like the original Yuri Boyka, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic Jr. So with that type of pedigree and potential, a team with a top 10 pick like CHI or NEW would be thrilled to bring in a proven stud.

8. Smitty Werbenjaegermaester    -      @ZodiacEXE

One of the strongest defensive prospects in this draft, Smitty has not been a dead fish in the training room. He's a top 5 TPE earner and active in the Rookie LR. Looking at picks 8/9 that is CHI and MAN, both could use another defensive prospect in the pipeline. Smitty could very well be a top 5 pick based on activity and potential, but as a first-gen without the bank that some recreates do, he might slip down just a notch but would be a great pick in this range.

9. Trevor Lopez              -      @tredpalo

Lopez was another first gen making an impressive debut into the SMJHL selected 2nd OV by VAN in the entry Draft. He is a super enthusiastic user who has been a positive force in the rookie discord. He doesn't have a huge bank but is a very appealing prospect to bring into the LR. Currently MAN has 9th OV selection and as mentioned, they could use a defenseman so if Lopez is available here I could see them pull the trigger.

10. Nor Ge            -            @NorwegianDemon

This is my sleeper pick for the top 10. ND is not the most talkative person on Discord so he might get overlooked but he does nothing but create great players who are totally loyal to the team that drafts him. If you have never heard the names Anders Christiansen or Salzberger Lillehammerson, well you have missed out on some outstanding players.
Salzberger especially was a huge player for Atlanta! Even if you haven't heard of him, I guarantee you Luke has, and with NEW holding the 10th OV pick I could see him making this selection very happily.
