The rise of Dionýz Vyskoč for Prince Georgia Firebirds and the future of the relocated and rebranded Franchise Anchorage Armada
The Prince Georgia Firebirds had the third selection in the 2nd round of the SMJHL Season 35 Rookie Draft and decided to select Dionýz Vyskoč with the 11th Overall. Back in that time the SMJHL only had 8 Teams. In his first season he brought up 7 Goals and 5 Assists so 12 Points. For the first 50 games that is ok. The Firebirds made the playoffs and in his first playoffs he 6 games with 2 Goals and 5 assists. That was insane but they lost the playoff series. In his second season Dionýz Vyskoč had a breakout year and with his 27 Goals, that were the most for the Firebirds in his SMJHL Career, and 25 Assists. The Firebirds also made in Season 36 the playoffs and they came until semi-final against Halifax Raiders. There they lost after 7 games. Dionýz Vyskoč but had again also an insane playoff performance with 8 Goals and 6 Assists in 11 games. Season 37 there Dionýz Vyskoč prove his performance of Season 36. With 22 Goals and 33 Assists. They made the playoffs but lost in the very first round. This time his playoff performance was disappointing. He had only 1 Goal and 1 Assist after 6 games. So it was one of the key factors why they didnt win the series against the St. Louis Scarecrows. In his very last season for the Prince George Firebirds he brought up again 55 points. He brought up 25 Goals and 30 Assists. The Team won the season and were the favorites in the playoffs. With 5 Goals and 10 Assists after 14 games the Prince Georgia Firebirds won the Four Star Cup in the Finals against the Detroit Falcons after 7 Games. The Award summary in the SMJHL Career Dionýz Vyskoč is also very interesting. In Season 36 he won the Roberto Martucci Award for scoring the most goals in the regular season. Season 38 he won several awards. He won the Ronan O'Keefe Trophy for the most points in the regular season. He also won the Ron Bolt Trophy that is given to the most sportsmanlike. He also won the Award as Playoff Most Valued Player. The Brodie Witzel Award was the most important award during his SMJHL career. This team in Season 38 was fully focused for fighting for the Four Star Cup. Players like Mikhail Lokitonov, Paddy Kane-Rielly, Blåbär Bananerström, Mikhail Petrikov and Tommy Tuck as example. Maybe it was one of the strongest core built between Season 34 and Season 38. In the End they won the Four Star Cup and the 30 season cup drought ended. They are legends in Prince Georgia. Since that the Franchise relocated to Anchorage and rebranded to Armada. But the team had also a short intermezzo in Regina as the Regina Force between Season 18 to Season 24. Since Season 42 the team is Anchorage Armada. As Armada the Franchise won two more Four Star Cups in Season 51 and Season 57. So they won the Four Star Cups in Season 1, 4, 8, 38, 51 and 57. Now is the question when the Franchise brings home the 7th Four Star Cup?
