NEW PROCEDURES FOR ARCHIVING PODCASTS

Instead of archiving podcasts, the media team thought it would be a good idea to simply lock the thread after grading. So, like other media, if we see no activity on a thread after a few days, we’ll proceed to grade the podcast. You should see an asterisk next to your podcast and the thread locked. This means everything is fine, and a bank request has been submitted.


FIRST MEDIA BONUS AND DRAFT/TOURNAMENT WEEK BONUS

Every season, both the media department and the graphics department hold a 'Draft/WJC/IIHF Double Media' week during or after draft week. Any content related to the drafts (SMJHL/SHL) will receive a 2x payout. Look for an announcement during that time to confirm the exact dates.

Every user who posts their first media (either a podcast or an article) on the forum is eligible for a 2x bonus payout, but this must be mentioned within the post so the graders can recognize it as a 'first media bonus.' These two options (first submission & draft bonus) cannot be combined. If your first submission occurs during Draft Double Media week, you can choose to use your 'first media bonus' on your next post.


PODCASTS

• Podcasts must be SHL-related in some way, shape, or form. Please remember that we do listen to all podcasts.
  
• Maximum payout limit: 60 minutes. Graders will stop listening and grading after 60 minutes.
  
• Limit of 1 podcast per week, with a maximum of 1 hour per week.
  
• Podcasts must be playable online. Any podcast that fails to meet this requirement will NOT be graded.
  
• There is a hard cap of 4 participants per podcast.
  

The pay scale is :

• 1 person - 4.2m/hr
  
• 2 person - 5.6m/hr (split into 2 = 2.8m each)
  
• 3 person - 7m/hr (split into 3 = 2.35m each)
  
• 4 person - 8.4m/hr (split into 4 = 2.1m each)
  

Which translates to:

• 1 person - 1,050,000/15min->4.2mil/hour
  
• 2 person - 1,400,000/15min->5.6mil/hour / split between 2 persons
  
• 3 person - 1,750,000/15min->7.0mil/hour / split between 3 persons
  
• 4 person - 2.100.000/15min->8.4mil/hour / split between 4 persons
