Jen does all she can to help her goalies stay focused during games. She knows that goalies are the backbone of every team, and they’re the only players who play all 60 minutes of a game, so she knows they have to be at their best. Thankfully, she has good rapport with the current goalie for the Dragons, Anastasia Soderstrom. They were part of the same class, and while they played on different teams in the J, they’ve always had a friendship, especially since they were both drafted to Calgary. Jen will usually take the most shots on Anastasia in warmups to get her ready for the game (and to get Jen warmed up as well). When Anastasia does give up a goal, Jen will skate over to her to keep her tuned into the game and make sure she isn’t beating herself up. During intermission Anastasia is as much a part of the team as the skaters and will typically be invited to hang out with Jen, Anna, and James.
