I’m thrilled to share some groundbreaking news that will revolutionize how we experience the league: the creation of the SHL Broadcast Team! This initiative enhances our game-day experience and makes every simulation a true event. Here’s what’s coming:

Weekly Live Sims with Commentary
Get ready for sims like you’ve never seen before! The Broadcast Team will deliver live commentary one sim a week, bringing energy and excitement to every game.
Expect post-game breakdowns and analysis to highlight key plays, standout performances, and the moments that define the season.

A New Podcast: SHL Tonight
We’re launching SHL Tonight, a weekly podcast analyzing the hottest games, top performances, and league storylines. We’ll feature interviews with players, GMs, and other league members, making this your go-to source for everything SHL.  Whether you’re following your player’s journey or staying updated with league drama, SHL Tonight will keep you informed and entertained.

So, What's Next?
We’re building something incredible, and we want YOU to be part of it. If you’re passionate about hockey, commentary, or content creation, this is your chance to shine. Job postings for the Broadcast Team will go live later today, so keep an eye out! We aim to hire Broadcast Team members for both leagues in the next couple of weeks.

Season 80 Proof of Concept: For S80, we’ll start with a once-a-week "SHL Broadcast" sim. This approach will serve as a proof of concept and allow us to ease into the process while refining our workflows and managing resources effectively.

Future Growth: Once we’ve established a solid foundation, we’ll scale up operations to include more frequent broadcasts and additional content.

Why I’m Excited
This isn’t just about improving sims—it’s about celebrating what makes the SHL special. We’re creating a product that draws people in, entertains, and connects our community like never before. From big goals to jaw-dropping saves, every moment matters, and the Broadcast Team will make sure it’s all celebrated in style. We can then turn these amazing moments into content that our Recruitment Team can use to share our community with the masses.

Different. IRL and the different SHL projects we have been working on separately (7 with being Cards head and I doing dev work) taken more effort/time than we thought. Happy to see this happen though. Would love to participate
