Damn, this sucks. I really failed to take into account how much experience matters in this league. Not a single player on MTL is going into regression so we have that going for us but to finish last in the conference again really feels unlucky and not representative of our talents. I feel like I could do more as I am not a max earner but at the same time a bottom 6 defender is necessary and someone that we could keep for cheaper. I just want to win more than anything as I care not for personal accolades. As a GM in the ISFL I know what it is like to rebuild as the Otters are rebuilding as we speak so I know being a team player can help. I will remain optimistic as we have a solid team even with losing my favorite teammate. The Eastern conference is such a beast it is hard to even fathom how one could climb to the top of the standings. Looking ahead there *are* teams that will be slapped with regression in our conference. Baltimore, New England, and Toronto will all be visited by the evil tax man aka the regression monster. With the playoffs looming and another month of no hockey it does suck to not have this league to check in on but it does allow me to focus on stuff in person. I think MTL can win it all and next season is the start of a long run of playoff appearances and MTL dominance. Go Pats Go
