This is NOT for people who are to be/got drafted into the SHL (S81 players). If you want to be drafted high in the SMJHL entry draft, you've got to make sure you're on teams' radars. Fill out the following questionnaire compiled by Head Office and the General Managers to earn some easy TPE and show everyone more of who you are and what teams get if they draft you! For anyone doing this after the draft, this is an opportunity to introduce yourself to SHL scouts and other members of the site, while earning TPE and money on the side. You will receive 0.5 TPE for each question you answer up to a maximum of 6 TPE. (12 questions) For each question you answer after the first 12, you will receive $100k per question answered, with a bonus of $200k for answering every question. The total for answering all questions will come out to 6 TPE and $1M!!! What made you join the SHL? I was looking for secondary league to join now that my first players career over in the ISFL is coming to a close. I had heard a lot of good things about the league, and the portal, and wanted to check them out. Plus, it's another league to max earn in If you could travel back to any point in time, what would it be and why? This is unironically tougher than I thought it would be. Probably 1500 BC Egypt cause it would be really fucking cool. If you had to give a 30 minute lecture from memory what topic would you choose? The history and lore of either Destiny or Mass Effect. When im travelling for hockey im on less, or school, etc. On average I would say I spend close to 24 hours a week on SHL and Discord combined in a week. 2. I joined in 2022, just passed my 3 year. I joined from a post in Hockey Dynasty, an old sim hockey game. I created and stayed because I love hockey, I love the community, and the game overall is awesome, 4. If you could travel back to any point in time, what would it be and why? (Comics included) Warbreaker or all three of the Mistborn Trilogy books by Brandon Sanderson. Sanderson is easily my favorite author probably of all time because he writes his books as fiction novels, my favorite, but also the wicked magic systems, like Allomancy, Feruchemy, and Hemalurgy. I've spent a lot of time talking to the latter and they are awesome. Not a lot of experience with the French. But I will say their food is overrated. What is the best book you have read and why? (Comics included) Hard to pick a "best book" because so many hit different and are important at different times of my life. Recently it's probably been "Royal Assassin" by Robin Hobb. I think people are too quick to turn negative feelings away and avoid emotions. Embrace your emotions, confront your challenges, and give yourself a break. Life is long, mistakes happen, things often don't go right. Why expect them always to do so? If I was a salmon I'd just take the current where it goes. If you could experience one thing in your life again for the first time, what would it be? (Book, movie, song, concert, etc.) Watching my brother graduate from college. My own graduation was nice and all and I'm glad I did it. But I felt the proudest of someone ever in my life watching him graduate with honors. Pineapple on Pizza? Yes. And I think it's worth exploring why people hate the idea of pineapple on pizza. Humans have craved sweet and savory for thousands of years. The Swedish love meatballs and lingonberry. The levantine people of history ate goat cheese and honey. Pork chops and apple sauce has been a common dish for decades. I mean people eat peanut butter and jelly everyday. So it's obviously not about the flavor combonation. I believe people that hate on pineapple on pizza are clining to some kind of traditionalism with pizza. "Pizza should only be blah blah blah!" Let that shit go. If you're eating NY Pizza you're already forsaking pizza heritage and eating it different than the italian peasants ate in Naplese way back in the 16th century. Without progress most of our food would be terrible. So eat some pineapple on pizza. While you're at it, throw some jalepenos on there too and maybe some applewood smoked bacon. In the summer time we like to bbq BUT I do like to boil the wieners, tuck them in a fresh bun and wrap those bad boys in foil and put them in the oven on very low heat for just a couple minutes to edn up with a nice steamed bun. FHM kind of does what it wants in terms of on the ice. In terms of the community, sometimes you need to learn when to push and when to flow. Push to protect those you respect and flow with the ones who know best. But also know when to stand up for yourself. (Book, movie, song, concert, etc.) I don't take a lot of media as a big part of my life and I think if I experienced it now instead of when I experienced it originally I don't think it would have the same effect on me.
