Team USA Blue World Juniors Championship
We are going to take a little preview into the Team USA Blue squad that has been selected in the upcoming World Juniors Championship the team was selected by Raf and LGRW613 and how they did in the last season Forwards Duke Howard Duke is coming off back to back SMJHL cups winning season 80 and season 79 with the Quebec Citadels Duke is a 6 foot 6 winger who plays on the third line for a very deep Citadels team he would be on the first line on any other team. Duke put up 86 points in 66 games 90% of Duke points coming in the even strength play which is very impressive. Duke led the Citadels in shots taken with 302 shots taken with a 17.2%. Elaina Beneski Elaina had their best year yet in the league on their 4th year in the league putting up 92 points for the season leading the Armada in points. Elaina did a lot of damage with the man advantage for the Armada with 32 points alone coming with the man advantage. Where Eliana is one of the smaller players in the league being 5 foot 5 and 150 pounds it does not stop them putting 159 hits for the season. Greyson Willis Greyson is a second year player with the Kraken and the team in goals while getting very limited power play time meaning he is doing most of their damage when teams are even strength Greyson also led the Kraken in shots with a shooting percentage of 15.4%. Greyson is very similar. Greyson is very efficient with his time on the ice he has the third lowest amount of ice on the team but still led the team in goals and shots, with more ice time Greyson will look too really explode. Hotdog Lunch Hotdog is the second line winger for the Highlanders Hotdog is filling the two way player for the for Highlander and was rewarded with more ice time with with playing limited minutes on the powerplay and the penalty kill last season to almost tripling Hotdogs ice time this season showing a lot of faith in confidence in Hotdog. Hotdog will also be wearing the C for Team USA blue Ian Avery Ian had a down year offensively for their standards where put up 50 points the season before and only putting up 37 points this season. But Ian focus this year was being the best defence forwards they can be with almost 5 mins of added ice time compared to last season this also increased is defensive ability where he increased his number 20% in each categoires Ima Noobie Noobie is one of the Berserkers consistent players where there isn't any numbers that jump of the page, Noobie led all forwards on the Berserkers in penalty key showing like they play giving Noobie key ice time, and the berserks had one the leagues top pks making Noobie one of the best pk players in the league Jauhnne Hawky Hawky another the pk specialist for the knights Hawky services will be needed in the WJC as well another player that sacrificed their offensive game in order to help the team out more on the defensive side with in return has rewarded the player with more ice in crucial spots. Hawky defense edge will pair well with the offensive guns USA blue has selected for the team Jay Dub Jay is the third line winger for the Armada but leads their team in face off win percentage which is impressive for a winger and only having 10 tpe in the stat and and wining 203 draws out of 369 draws is a impressive stat Jeffrey Bjelland Jeffrey just wrapped their 4th year with the falcons and 5th in the juniors the team is coming off a disappointing campaign but Jeffrey was a bright spot for leading the team in goals, assists and points. They had a tough day on the faceoff dot but made up for it with their offensive ability. Jervis Arbwranger Jervis is the second line centre for the Kraken who had another successful campaign Jervis also had another great year for the Kraken putting up 74 points along with putting up a career high in assists with 49. He is also one of the league's best when it comes to the faceoff dot showing a 54% from the dot is one of the few forwards that has more takeaways than giveaways his two way ability will much needed for team Puddles O’Duckling Puddles is the first line winger for the Walleye he has played three years with the Walleye and had one their better years with the Walleye. Puddles was moved to have a bigger role on the powerplay for the Walleye having career high in minutes on the powerplay they put the same amount of points with the man advantage this year with the extra minutes than last year but still showing they are consitent. Sevrin Quinn Is had a amazing year rookie year for the Raptors putting up 49 points for the raptors another note is that in their rookie year Sevrin with a total of 885 faceoffs taken Sevrun was able to win 517 of them giving Sevrin a 58.4% faceoff win percentage that the best faceoff percentage with at least 500 draws taken which is a huge accomplishment for a player but even more impressive for a rookie to do this Zeus Storm Zeus is going to be the offensive juggernaut in their breakout year for the Armada Zeus put up 82 points having career highs in goals, assist, and power play points. Zeus hopes to keep the momentum going into worlds as they have been red hot Defense men Adam Daniels It was Adam's first year in the league for the Battleborn and they had a pretty solid year with putting up 26 pts and having the fourth most ice time on the team in their rookie year shows potential Adam has. WJC will be great for Adam seeing the cream of the crop playing amongst each other it will be a great experience for Adam Dirty Puma Puma played on the top pairing for the Grizzlies who had a pretty tough overall especially offensively with only putting up 144 goals as a team which was the lowest in the league . Puma is more known for defensive ability with being in the top of the Grizzlies in blocks and hits Kienen McKeller The rookie Defenseman for the grizzlies putting up a respectable 25 points in a rookie campaign on a team that wasn't generating one of the lowest amount offence in the league Kienen is a more offensive style of dman and hopes to showcase their ability at worlds Outen Deboonies Another rookie from the grizzlies had a tough debut season with the grizzlies only putting up 4 goals in their debut but showed promise with their aggressive style of play landing 104 hits Rookie to keep and eye on if they stay active Weston Windsor Weston in their fourth year with the Berserkers and had their best year yet with a career high in points putting 53 points as a dman doubling their assist total from the previous season while still maintaining their high level of play on defensive side leading the team is 94 takeaways and being top two in blocks on the Berserkers Goalies Trent Mackenzie The starting goalie for the Whalers, Trent second year was a big improvement from his first, their save percentage jumping by 8% from .891 to .904 on a struggling Whalers team that is starting to find their footing with their rookies coming around. Trent will have A on his jersey serving as the alternate for USA Jack Ryan Jack will is a rookie goalie that had a solid year for the Walleye was backing up for the Walleye and a decent rookie year showing a .885 save percentage which is a solid save percentage for a struggling Walleye. Jack will be backing up Trent for this worlds. (Word count 1363) ![]() Registered Member
