Kraken Carolina Kraken Team Awards - Season 80 Kraken

Hello chillers and goats, it’s your 4th favorite yapper ocho here, and thank you for joining me for the presentation of the Season 80 Carolina Kraken Team Awards! These awards were all voted on by the players of the Carolina Kraken (well, most of them… some of them forgot…)

Slothface Leadership Award
The Slothface Leadership Award is awarded to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities both on and off the ice. No one deserves this award more than the player who can not only lead the team to victory in the games, but can rally everyone together in the locker room regardless of outcome. Congratulations to Chuck Stewart! @ghamss

Crisoph Klose Award (Best Forward)
This award is for the forward who was deemed by his teammates to be the best performing forward on the team. Statistically, there is one player who clears this award easily, putting up a whopping 37 goals and 45 assists for 82 points in their first ever season. Outside of stats, this guy was also one of the top vibers in the locker room. Congratulations to Crisoph Klose Award winner Hetaksh! @Hetaksh03

Petr Klimek (Best Two-Way Player)
Anyone who knows ball knows who won this award, and why. This guy, as the award suggests, is a threat on all 200 feet of the ice. Boasting 74 points, a +/- of 34, and a whopping 53 takeaways, the winner Petr Klimek award for best two way player is none other than Jervis Arbwranger! @cbx

Quilha Agante (Best Defenseman)
The Quilha Agante Award is for the best defenseman on the team. As the old saying goes, “defense wins championships,” but without one player we wouldn’t have made it to the championship at all. This player proved to be the cornerstone of the Kraken blue line for the entire season. Boasting a statline of 171 blocks, 84 hits, 70 takeaways, and a +29, on top of a career high 47 points, the Quilha Agante Award is awarded to Kenneth Lind! @Canadice

Jordan Nugent Award (Most Dedicated Player)
This award is for the player who puts in the most work for the Kraken. Day in, day out, this player is out here grinding and stacking their bread. This is for the player who is not only dedicated to the Kraken, but to the league as a whole. And anyone who knows the Kraken roster knows that there is one player who fits this bill more than anyone. This player is not only grinding at all times, but they will send you screenshots of your own task responses as well. The winner of the Jordan Nugent Award is Kim Chaewon! @JamesT

Alonzo Garbonzo (Best Rookie)
The Alonzo Garbonzo ROTY Award is awarded to, well, the best rookie for the year. All of our rookies this season put up incredible performances, but there was one who stood out above the rest. Hell, this guy was performing better than most of the veterans across the league. He also has already won an award this season as the team’s top forward. If you haven’t figured it out yet, the winner of the Alonzo Garbonzo award is Hetaksh! @Hetaksh03

Kurtis Hunter Award (Team Choice MVP)
At this point you can probably guess who won this one. The Kurtis Hunter Award is awarded to the player deemed most valuable to his team by the members of his team. This player was not only deemed the most valuable, but they also had the most stunning performance of any player this season, putting up 82 points as a rookie. Adding to his already impressive collection of accolades, this season’s team-voted MVP is Hetaksh! @Hetaksh03

Michael Fitted Award for the player who best demonstrates what it means to be a Kraken
Every player on this team shows the spirit of the Kraken every time they step out onto the ice wearing the logo. If it were up to me to pick one winner for this award, I don’t think I would be able to choose just one of the players on this roster. Luckily, I don’t have to pick the winner! This player is someone who is seen in every corner of the league, and wherever they go, they are a shining example of the core tenets of the Carolina Kraken organization. The winner of the Michael Fitted Award is Kim Chaewon! @JamesT

That’s all we got for tonight, folks! Congratulations to all of the award winners, you all more than deserved it for the seasons you’ve had. Thank you to everyone who voted on these awards and came out tonight for this award ceremony. More importantly, a MASSIVE thanks to @sve7en and @kahri for all of the work they put in to make Carolina not only the greatest team on the ice, but the greatest locker room in the league. Those two are the reason why so many of us love the league, and I speak for the entire team when I say there isn't another GM tandem I would want to play for. With that being said, be good, do good, God bless, and go Bills Kraken!

I've always known that the best players are the ones who can handle themselves anywhere on the ice, like my role model, Steve Yzerman. Hopefully we keep it up in the next season!
