Most Outstanding Player
Brodie Witzel Trophy
Postseason Most Valuable Player
Jack Cross Trophy Most Underrated Player[/align] With awards, it is so easy to only show off the top point earner or just the top player in general which is why this award is so critical. For someone who may not be recognized because they do not show up on a leader board but they are the glue guy for the team and this is why Greyson Willis demonstrated. Being on the second line and PP2, Willis managed to put up 71 points with 42 goals and 29 assists. This puts Willis as the top goal scorer in Carolina this season while have 17:44 ATOI. Chances are if you ever popped into the Carolina LR, you have seen Ocho. Despite being a second year player, Ocho has made himself an extremely important part of the locker room as if he has been there for years. Ocho was voted as Alternate Captain by his peers for the dedication and drive he brings into the LR. Ocho has brought together rookies, alumni and friends of the brand with his engagement. He was a key for Carolina pushing QCC to the cup finals with his help with coaching and has jumped quickly into supporting scouting. From hyping up others during the sim to overall always being around to bring chaos and fun. Ocho embraces what it means to be a Kraken from his energy to his drive to grow within the league. Dirty Puma stepped up in their sophomore season to take a big role on the ice as Great Falls biggest defender. Playing the longest minutes and working extensively on both special teams, this player was pulling the team forward with their defensive play. Dirty Puma has been a great presence in the GFG Locker Room since they joined and this season have stepped up to help out others and champion their team at every possible opportunity. Relegated to the third line with no powerplay time did not stop Khalfani from being a key contribution to the knights meteoric success. Scoring 26G and 24A for 50points(almost a ppg) with 4 Shorthanded goals is impressive without playing limited minutes and shows his defensive prowess. Khalfani doing so well eating these garbage minutes it allowed our higher tpe forward to focus on more offensive roles, resulting in 5+ players being able to break or tie team records. Zorem has been a gem and showed why we drafted him 9th overall since day 1. After our draft, and seeing how one of the many forwards we drafted would be relegated to the third line and a more minor role, Zorem immediately offered to play less minutes so the other rookies could get more time over him. Besides this he is regularly active in our LR and has often helped all our new gens with build advice or site help. Overall, he is a joy to have in the LR and proves daily why anyone who has shared an LR with him love him. Anthony Louchard had a great season, finishing with 99 points and 30 goals. We put him in a defensive role on a really offensive line, and he managed to crush it at both. He’s top 5 in points but still hasn’t gotten the credit he deserves. By far the sexiest of the Louchard trio who joined in S79. Member of the WR in Maine, scouts well, very active in the LR. Likely overshadowed by some impressive offense generated by the best d-men of the league points wise this season, Pavel Mintyukov’s contribution to a very shaky Ottawa defense cannot be understated. Going into the season as the 12th worst defense in the league, and having to pull up more of his weight when two fresh rookies came into the team at the end of the season, his numbers, both for ice time and points production vastly outplayed the level of this team. He managed a 9th best point tally for league defensemen, with 50 points, with only teams inn the top 4 teams in the standings besting him, most of which were at 425 cap, whereas Pavel was sitting at 350. This tally also includes a tie for 4th in goals for defensemen, and tied for 2nd in powerplay goals, proving his efficiency as the 1st powerplay QB and helping Ottawa end the season with the 2nd most efficient powerplay in the league. Outside of his offense, he proved to be a physical beast, finishing 5 back of the best hitter among d-men with 139 hits on the season, adding 130 blocked shots to round out an impressive season. Seeing 24:35 minutes of ice on average is no understatement, and munching as many minutes to cover for a team weakness has to be brought up like this. One of the leagues least talked of players who had a team defining impact over the season, helping Ottawa exceed expectations. Wrehkz has really come into their own this season. A bit more silent at first, they've bought in heavily into the team’s culture, our antics, our inside jokes and rituals, and have been a driver for positivity, inclusion and engagement. Not only have they become a team favorite and one of our more integral members, but they’ve also been a huge help and have stepped up around the league, expected to begin his simmer duties shortly. While they are still relatively new and taking things at a slower pace, this season saw Wrehkz breakout of their shell a bit more, and I can see this trend continuing as the seasons pass. It cannot be understated just how enjoyable they are to be around, and we are all grateful to have them help lead this team to its first cup! It's hard to stand out on a team loaded top to bottom with talent, and when new addition Dominic Enselmo joined the team, it was clear that there would be a battle just for ice time. With the top powerplay and penalty kill lines already filled with returning vets, Dominic would have to make his presence known at even strength, and that he did. Scoring 33 of his 35 goals 5 on 5, along with 45 of his 52 assists, Enselmo quietly rose to be QCC's even strength scoring leader in just 17 minutes of ice time per game - the second lowest on the team. Players like Roccamontepiano and Thompson-Smythe will likely get the attention, but the key to Quebec's success this season has been the depth scoring generated by Enselmo and the third l Joining the team via trade this season, GabeyD has proven to be far more than a "rental" player to fill out a roster. His vocal team spirit lifts up the locker room nearly every sim, helping with match day updates, team graphics and more. Since his arrival less than a season ago, he's cracked the elusive top 25 list in server activity and feels like he's always been a longtime member of the team. Noxus is our prime player, he's the one burrying the puck in the net and creating offence. Yeah, he may have an abysmal defensive game but what matters is that he was by far our MVP, at least in terms of skaters. His 27 goals put him in the top 40 (tied for 40th) in goals in the entire league, on a team that scored less than three goals a game. With 36 assists, he was 3 points away from point per game on an abysmal team. Over 34% of all Vancouver goals had Aaron Noxus on the scoresheet!! All that while being a 2nd year player and playing with 2 rookies. Noxu is a gem to have in the LR, he's very active, fun to be around and always willing to help. He can be serious when he needs to be but otherwise is such a goofball. Nox is one of the core pieces of this LR and gives me faith in the future of this league. It's with this type of user that the new generation can grow! He has also shown an interest in the management side of things, and many people around the league have mentioned to me how pleasant getting to know Nox was. He might come off as too unserious at first, but once you learn to know him, you're faced with such a caring, genuine user who wants to elevate people around him. Nour Harrak Award

I'm extremely grateful and humbled to be nominated for both the Jack Cross Trophy and the Zach Miller Trophy. While I truly don't think I deserve them, I'm happy that I seem to be making a positive impact on those closest to me and I wanted to thank my Vancouver GM @Seany148 for being so helpful and putting up with my chaotic side.
I am honored to be nominated alongside some people I consider to be friends, and no matter who ultimately gets the award, you all are amazing people to talk to and are awesome to have in the league. <3 ![]() Registered Senior Member ![]() Registered Posting Freak |
