Please pick ONE prompt to write about. Do not mix and match prompts. Identify the prompt you are using in your submission - Copying and pasting the prompt will deduct from your word count so if you do this make sure YOUR submission is 150+ words excluding the prompt.
Written Option 1: Your opponent scores a goal but the coach seems to think it might have been the an offside. Yet the video coach was sleeping on the job and they need more time to find the replay to be sure if to challenge it or not. Coach sends your player to distract the referees until they can make up their mind and claim that referees just didn’t notice their call to challenge the goal. How does your player achieve this? Do they go talk to the refs? Or do they start a commotion somewhere in the rink? Maybe trip one of them by “mistake” and help them get back up? Whatever they try, do they successfully pull it off? Graphic Option 1: Create an image of your player getting the attention of the referees. Written Option 2: At the beginning of the season your player gives in depth interview with a reporter who they are familiar with at their home. The reporter is mostly interested in hearing your players thoughts on this upcoming season but will let your player to steer the conversation to any topics they would like to talk about. So what does your player talk about? Is it mostly about this upcoming season or do they want to talk about their career as a whole? And do they talk only about hockey or does your player also share more personal things? You can either describe the interview, its tone and topics, how it will be received by public, write a quote or two that would make rounds on social media or write the whole interview if you want to. Graphic Option 2: Create an image of your player sitting down with an reporter. You will receive 3 TPE for fulfilling all requirements. All responses are due on Sunday, February 23rd at 11:59 PST. NOTE: IF YOU SUBMIT/EDIT AFTER THE DEADLINE YOU WILL RECEIVE REDUCED/NO TPE. Graphics need to be viewable when PT is graded or you will not receive TPE. Discord only hosts images for very limited time. Affiliate claims from either PBE or ISFL or WSLB or SSL are accepted; link directly to your post and note if your username is different there. If you have any questions/concerns, please PM me. Tasks with malicious intent will not be graded. The graders reserve the right to determine malicious intent, after discussion with me. You will not be warned. This task is for SHL players and send downs only. If your player is S82 this is not for you. PT credit: puoli ![]() Simmer Simmer

Task 2:
William Salming usually has a one media day per season and he then gives an in-depth interview for the local newpaper. Often they begin the chat by greeting each other and Salming says he enjoys to give back to the fans. Reporter often asks first about how the last season went and then they turn the focus on the upcoming season. Salming then answers what are his targets on the individual and team level. He often mentions that winning means everything for him. That's why we play this game we all so much care about it. He usually tries to give smart answers and couple of interesting quotes that reporter can put to the headline. Usually the chat takes about 30 minutes and Salming answers deeply to seven or eight questions. When the session is over, Salming gets a feedback from the reporter couple days later and can check that the facts are correct and his quotes are correct too. All in all, Salming likes to give those kind of interviews. ![]() ![]() Registered Senior Member

Hello Mr. Benoit Hogue and welcome to my home. I am very excited to do this interview for you and the Seattle Enquirer. Yes, thank you for asking about my time in the juniors, it was a great time I spent in Quebec and winning back to back four star cups has been amazing, but I am here now to talk about the future and what I am going to bring to the Seattle Argonauts, your home town team. We are an up and coming team, they made great strides last year making the playoffs and I aim to help them continue to improve. I showed the last two years that I can be a great two way player and can score and help keep the puck out of the next with a great /- rating. I hope to continue that same trend here. I know I won't get as much ice time, but I will continue to work hard and bring a cup the the Emerald City. Code: Words ~160 ![]() Registered Posting Freak
Written option 2:
Darby Reznor started out the interview talking about his upcoming season with the Maine Timber, and his belief that they are built for another deep run at the championship. The interviewer then started asking the hard question about him being cut from Baltimore, but Darby did his best to say that him leaving was mutually amicable, and that he has no hard feelings towards any of the Platoon. Darby then started talking about his hobby of skateboarding, and that when he was younger he wanted to be a professional skateboarder until he discovered hockey. He said that there was an amateur skateboarding tournament that was held every year in his local skate park that he tried every year to win until hockey made him not have time for it anymore. The only thing that Darby said no to talking about was his private life, as he is pretty well known for being very protective of his private life, and also barely uses social media himself these days. ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered Posting Freak

Written Option 2:
Let's do this, roleplay style, shall we? The Nevada Press is ready for a busy media day. With the Battleborn making some shocking off-season moves, most notably moving away some of their veterans, they're interested in trying to get a sense of the new crop of rams, and the reactions of their returning players. One person from the returning crop made some of his own waves during the off-season. The press stand up as the new captain of the Nevada Battleborn walks in. Sitting down after his team's last practice before the regular season, Claude L'Castor has a towel around his neck and has changed out of his gear, now wearing his workout clothes of a Nevada Battleborn T-shirt and track pants. His beard is starting to grow thicker, growing accustomed to the look and feel of it. The goaltender wipes his face and looks at the press. Rather than wait for the media to ask him questions, Claude speaks into the microphone. He catches his breath and addresses the room. "Merci. Thank you for coming. Before I leave the floor open, I would like to uh, speak a bit. Just about this entire..." He shakes his head. "Wild off-season and this upcoming season." Clearing his throat, Claude speaks up. "My off-season did not really feel like an off-season. I was given the honour of representing both my province and country on the international stage in my hometown. Team Canada Black, we ran out of steam at the end and that is disappointing, but I know that there are at least three more chances for me at the World Juniors. But, the IIHF. The uh, level of competition was something else and even if I had challenges, the support of my hometown somehow made me find that other gear. That last round robin game too, uh, I will carry that memory for my life. I was nominated for goaltender of the tournament and to have that in my first go at it..." Closing his eyes, he shows a small grin. "That was electric. I know Quebec is still young as a IIHF organization, but I think if we continue to grow like we have, we will be a big name on the world stage. And that effort was somehow rewarded with me hearing my name called 7th by Buffalo." He chuckles. "You were going to ask that, non?" His humour draws a few chuckles from the room. "I could say I am the hot stuff and that is why I got drafted where I did, but really, a lot of it came down to place and timing. Buffalo has a team looking to compete, but have goaltenders who have great careers like Rebecca Montagne, but only have so much time left. It is a good fit, and I will work hard to be ready for the time I am called up. But uh, that leaves me to this season." Tapping the table, Claude L'Castor has a bit of discomfort. "As I was wrapping up my international tournaments I heard the news that Nevada made some trades. Marshall went to Vancouver, and much of our veterans were traded out. It hurts to see some of your teammates go. Hip was a great captain. I learned a lot from him and Kiwi. Badger and I shared a moment on the ice after the IIHF, knowing we may have played our last game together. I can imagine it was not an easy decision for management, but the J is fast with us coming and going quick. So sometimes, if you feel like you are going to fall short, you may need to make an aggressive move to win now, or to focus on the next chance, and they chose the longer term option. That uh, that opening also lead me to being named Captain." Wiping his face, Claude shows a small grin. "That I just see as an extra challenge. We have a lot of young players. I want to do what I can to leave a strong impression on them like our departing teammates did to me. Motivate them, support each other. So, this season is going to be about the long-term. With the players we lost, on paper, yes, we will have challenges. But we will be a better team by the end. We will be as ready as we can for the playoffs. Every team makes it, so we can spoil some people's dreams and take that good will into the next season. I look forward to seeing my us grow and hopefully we will be raising the cup together within these next three years and see each other again in the SHL." He gives a wink. "So, now that I got all that off my chest, I will open the floor." ![]() SHL GM Formerly Gyro_Hero
Task 2:
Ohhhh that's far too much power for Matthias to have. If he's allowed to steer the topic, then he'll start by talking about his career, certainly, but it won't be long before he's talking about the fans, the arena, the space station they built a while back, and all sorts of other topics. You can bet that he'll do some recruiting his slowly-emerging cult of fans, and gush about all his teammates, the rivalry with Calgary, and the rising power that is Chicago. He'll talk about the situation with the IIHF, about new emerging players, about how insane it is to finally be in the major leagues - all kinds of things! And when the reporter is finally able to slip away, he'll be right there on their way out the door, where the interview will turn into a sort of bizarre "cribs" episode where he shows off his tiny apartment and his Miku figurines and Fallout New Vegas NCR ranger cosplay and that one really comfortable beanbag. It would be an absolute nightmare to edit that footage into something even remotely useable. That's just how it goes when you put him on camera!
"That way - no, no, a little to the left!" "Oh, shit, not like that wait no -!!" crash!!! "Oh god Cake is gonna hit me again" :'0 ![]() Banned Banned
Option 1: Dionicio, as the newly promoted Captain has gained certain perks including being the player who will talk to the refs should something happen. Quebec has two specialists in causing trouble, Welch and Barista. Just give them a nod from the bench while they are out waiting for the puck to drop and they will start shoving and pushing. Soon two fights have started before the puck dropped. While the refs sort that Dionicio is preparing to stall even more once he is called over to talk with the refs post-fights. Just as planned refs explain the situation to both captains and here Dionicio keeps asking valid questions giving our video guy over 5 minutes in total now to wake up and check. Finally, coach calls the refs over and challenges the play and while at first, the refs don’t think that’s allowed a simple “Has play resumed a single time since the goal?” forces the ref's hands. One challenge later and we’re heading back to the defensive zone for the draw, just with one less goal against. (177 words)

Kim Chaewon has been in front of the camera for a lot of her life so she is used to having interviews and has done a few documentaries showing her time in Le Sserafim where all the members give their thoughts about their lives as a k-pop idol and struggles they go through. For this interview with Chaewon, they go out to a local cafe to have this interview and take a walk around the city to get more insight on how her off-season went, what things she did to relax and what she is looking forward to for the upcoming hockey season. Fans know a lot about Chaewon with her livestreams talking with fans and from her time in the k-pop world, however the hockey universe probably not quite so much so for this interview they get to see a silly, quirky and loose side of Kim Chaewon (quite opposite of what they see out on the ice). There is an even teaser for Le Sserafim's upcoming album "Hot" that Chaewon teased a bit by saying "this season is going to be extremely hot for Carolina". (187 words) |
