i would argue that many teams use very similar colors to each other throughout the entire league, both the shl and smjhl, but are able to get away wit it because they use these colors in different ways. The Blizzard logo features five different shades of blue, so itd be hard to pick a different kind of blue. On top of this, for years and years our jerseys have been blue and yellow of a very similar shade:
On top of this, edmonton does not have jersey mock ups on their page that i saw, but according to their team banner, the dark blue is their main/background color whereas ours is the powder blue

On that note, it would be super awesome and helpful if all teams fixed their team information pages... Long overdue.
I think the new branding looks great! I'm assuming this will be active as of S82? Can't wait to see the new kits! I'll reserve my opinion/criticism about the Edmonton similarities until those are revealed.

Pretty much Hamilton, Edmonton, and even Seattle all have similar color schemes on paper that are distinguished by the shades of blue and the usage of those secondary colors.
But you're right that Edmonton uses that lighter blue as an accent where their primary kit is actually a darker blue. They also don't seem to use the gold accent on their kits at all.
