What about start the TPE re-distibution during S7, then implement in the offseason. That way, we won't be on a time crunch to get everyone done during the offseason.
Obviously not put the updates in affect until the offseason either. This will give everyone plenty of time to strategize and fulfill re-distribution properly. Banned Banned
How about more player types and more restrictions but you can go over those restrictions with x amount of points for 1 point upgrade.

If you want to up 3-point shooting on a center it costs a lot more, stuff that a player like that wouldn't normally be good at. With the sim though that's much more limited as every position essentially has the same skillset. Very little room for variation there so I don't think it's as good of an idea.

If an update scale was introduced, what would people's thoughts on including leadership in the player template as an ability that can be updated? Given the fact no one is going to be maxing out with an update scale, I think it would be a good idea. If you want to sacrifice points in other skills for leadership, shouldn't you be allowed to?

I am so for this.
I was getting soured on the fact that everyone just ramps up to 99s in their viable attributes, and the players all end up the same. I wanted to see more thought and strategy go into players. Have people think about the pass/skate/shoot ratio more. It would be a much more interesting league with more difference between players. I like the idea of updating the "Roles" as well. The idea of not having hard caps with any role is interesting. Each role has soft caps, and then perhaps multipliers for how much each point would cost after the soft cap. You could maybe even have a hard cap beyond that, but the lowest a hard cap could be would be like 95. Haven't really thought it through too much, but just throwing it out there. Count me in.

as I've said many times, a player with 99 in something should be well-known for that number. maybe a rare palyer with 99 in scoring, or that rare d-man or grinder with 99 in checking, things like that.
