It's pretty much a good deal for Florida.

They will manage Markstrom more carefully without burning him with a poor team and if Thomas goes back to his usual self, might even steal several games for them and maybe steal that wildcard spot.

It's risky though. Is he going to be back to his old self, being a brick wall and stealing games he has no business stealing, or is he going to be a tired old man who took a year off and never really returned to the way he used to be?
