NHL 14 Be A GM: Yellowknife Wizards by meow
#1

The people of Yellowknife have finally recived a hockey team, and it was better than they could of asked for... There will be a NHL Team! Replacing the Phoenix Coyotes (despite thinking they had an agreement to stay in Phoenix) will be relocating to Yellowknife to become the Wizards, or the beasts of the North.

**This will be a fantasy draft, all sim, no play. Screenshots may come**

The draft order will be randomized 5 times (my lucky number). Wish us luck!

Even Crosby can't help

Just making pre-season lines.

I am fairly happy with the team, we have youth talent and star vets. We can be a very good team if we get much better depth.

Pre season Lines

Shinkaruk- Gally- Sedin

Kassian- Backlund- Zuccarello
Abdelkader- Eakin- Matteau

Pouliot- Larsson

Captains to be announced.

---------------

I need some good 3rd-4th liner with reachable trade value, good top 4 dman, and perhaps an upgrade on Bishop.

Yellowknife sents UFA Michal Handzus a 1 year offer for $1.675M

My reasoning: He is a good faceoff man and the type of player we need. Besides, we have so much cap space we need someone to gobble it up.

Yellowknife sents Jordin Tootoo a 2 year, $1.150m (per) offer.

My reasoning: He is an Inuit.

Oh you wanted more? Alright. He would be a good 4th liner for us...
197lbs, 5'9", 89 strength. I love this guy!

4-3 SO Win for Yellowknife

Yellowknife wins their next 2 pre-season games.

Pre-Season record: 3-3

Games since last update:

1-0 lost to Calgary (away)
6-3 lost to Edmonton (away)
2-0 to Anaheim (home)

What I've noticed

-We are unbeileveable inconstant.
-No players are over a point a game
-Parise has 2 points in 6 games against non-NHLers in the pre-season...
-Mrazek didn't play so bad. 92.35 SV% but the starting job will be given to Bishop.
-If our star players can't put the puck in the net, we are fucked.
-Zuccarello was held pointless, this speaks volumes to me.
-Everyone give a big clap for Parise, a -5.
