Couple of announcements here..

All-Star Games
As a lot of you know, we recently opened up a poll about possibly bringing back All-Star games. Well the votes are in and there was quite a bit of support to bring them back, so All-Star games are making a return. They will, however, be a bit different than how we used to do them.

We will be doing the classic Eastern Conference vs Western Conference, so no more drafts. The public will vote for the starting lineups and a committee will decide the other all-stars. Start voting here http://theshl.b1.jcink.com/index.php?showtopic=40178&hl=

The game this season will be held early this week, possibly Monday. Still unsure if we will hire a coach for each team to put together lines, or just have the committee fill in the rest of the lines based on stats, please leave feedback below.

The three All-Star teams will still be done at the end of each season.

New Backup Goalie Penalty
GMs have been aware of this rule for the past week or so now, we are just a little late posting this to the public. Here are the new penalties that are in effect as of now.

If you fail to start your goalie for the required 6 starts you will face the following penalties.

-2mil x number of starts missed towards next season's budget.
-Backup goalie must play 2x the number of starts missed the following season.
-GMs that don't reach the required amount of backup goalie starts for a second straight season will be fired.

The trade deadline is coming up on either Sunday or Monday. We are discussing the exact time in the head office right now, so stay tuned for an announcement regarding this sometime soon.

Playing your backup 4 more games, when you're 3 points behind a playoff spot with 12 games to go, isn't exactly ok. It does screw Calgary. Ofer might keep his job (and I think he should he's a great GM) but having to sit Verminski might sink Calgary's ability to get swept in Round 1 again.

but still Reimer is one of the best backup in league tbh and he can win these 4 games for us. Smile

I'm vaguely familiar with Reimer, i think 1-2-1 or 1-1-2 is more likely than 4-0-0 when he's giving up 3+ gaa
