Completed first PT

COMPLETED

01-24-2015, 12:34 PMJNH Wrote: Welcome to the SHL, and congratulations for finding the SMJHL Player Progression section!

This first PT will combine some of the basic things that you’ll be doing on a weekly basis on the site and teach you how to do them!

Step 2 of the rookie tutorial explains and contextualizes everything you’ll do this first PT in greater detail.

Please note that only brand new members to the site (non-recreates) are eligible to do this task! Also note that if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask the mentors, either on Discord or on the site!

1) We’re going to start off by giving you a free $500k to pay for your first training!

Go to http://simulationhockey.com/bank.php and claim your free $500k by clicking a button there:

Click on "Your Bank Account" on that same page and select "Purchase Training" at the 500k level:

Click on the completed training under "Bank Transactions" on that same page to get the link for your update thread

2) Now we need to update our player in order to improve their stats! Create an update thread and link your free 500k training bank withdrawal within that thread!

Click here to learn how to make an update thread!

3) Congratulations, you have now successfully updated your player and are well on your way into turning them into a SHL superstar! To finish off this task: reply to this post with a link to your update thread that you have created showing that you have followed the above steps!

Doing so means that you have completed your first Point Task earning you 1 TPE!  You can claim this point by linking your post reply here to your update thread!

Click here to see how I finished off the task!

Well done! There is still much more to do however. Explore around the forums! You will also need to start earning some more money in order to train again. Head over here to Step 4 of the rookie tutorial to learn how to start earning money!

Best of luck and we hope you enjoy your stay on the SHL!

"Bring back Pingy Pingu Lunga Gumba esq. And I mean bring him all the way back. I want every thread on this forum that involves even a modicum of salt to get razed to the ground by our most notorious shitposting penguin. I want every thunderdome to drown in ABAGABA spam and a signature that doesn't end. I want the userbase of this fine league to cower in terror, slinking about the forums and making as little noise as possible for fear of attracting the Shitpost Slenderman. When some poor immigrant from the NFL sim blunders into the forum and makes an angry post about how his player slipped to the early second round despite having done ALL the rookie tasks(!), let the veteran survivalists stare in horror and pity while the newbie rages. They will know it is only a matter of time before @Pingy Pingu descends upon his post like a ravening wolf and obliterates his tread, reducing it to a radioactive waste-dump of unintelligible spam. They will not interfere, for Pingy is our immune system. Because he can take it. Our Dark Knight of Shitposting"
