So what's the craic with the gap between draft and pre-season? The SMJHL draft is on Saturday, and I assume the GMs need some time to get sorted for pre-season. Any idea when the first pre-season games will be?

I'd say no later than a week after draft. I'm not a GM though so take it as a fan's view. Hopefully the SMJHL catches up to the SHL in the regular season.
