A rough idea that is by no means a big change but I was thinking how can we make winning the cup or being a top goal scorer , etc better?

Gear or Training Endorsements could be a neat idea.

Create a Job where each year 2-3 different companies support a few players.

These can range from cup champions, draft prospects, biggest hitter etc.

***each idea is separate and should not be combined, just throwing the endorsement things out there*****

Idea 1
Once Elected for the Endorsement you would get your name on the top gear:


Nike Bauer Vapor XXX lite would be 'Nike Bauer Vapor Special Edition 'Daniel Merica'

The stats would be the same but the name would change and media could circumvent this.


Idea 2

Once Elected you are eligible to just receive a piece of gear or training.

So the equipment may need to be re worked so each gear has a different tier:

Nike: Tier 1 Gloves, Tier 2 Shoulder, Tier 3 Skates, Tier 4 Stick
Bauer: Tier 2 Gloves, Tier 1 Shoulder, Tier 4 Skates, Tier 3 Stick
etc

Idea 3

Endorsements give +1 extra uncapped TPE of that brands purchase for a season





For some of the richer members this idea may seem just blah as you can afford anything but winners of the 4 star cup would have a chance to boost their character for free.




yeah, not fully thought out but I though endorsements for being active at some level may be something cool to add even if its at the SMJHL level only

I think instead of capped TPE for Milestone's you should hit endorsement targets and get paid money

Hm good point, the only thing I could think of is there needs to be guidelines set before hand of what the company is looking to sponsor in the start of the season.

at the end of the season, the targets are hit... perhaps there needs to be 2-3 members in charge of a company that are not friends to make it fair?

That'd be a compromise. It'd all need to be laid out but it's definitely something that would be interesting to see fleshed out.

I feel like if we did that the fairest we could make it is just having like a randomizer that like picks like 2 players each season to add too their brand

IMO Just replace the milestones TPE with Money and that's solved.

You have companies set "Milestones" like Nike sets a reward of $4,000,000 to everyone who scores over 55 points etc.

It'll be set by the league and gives everyone a fair chance.

Getting capped TPE for excelling in a season or winning a cup kinda sucks. You should be rewarded for a great preform ancestors not be limited by it.
