Fun fact: this survey was created after c's retirement.
So?

This is a good idea. Mental health problems affect a startling percentage of the population and the online community is certainly no different. Out of curiosity, will the final (anonymous) results be posted here?

Yeah I'll update the OP with results tomorrow evening. Already got almost 50 responses!

One preliminary statistic that jumps out at me is while 20-25% of North Americans struggle with mental illness, slightly over 50% of people who took the survey said they struggle with mental illness, which doesn't actually surprise me tbh. Not because I think everyone here is crazy, but I imagine that people who have these issues are likely to spend more time online, especially in an online community, than mentally healthy people.

From what I've seen since joning this site, everyone here is, in fact, crazy.

I feel like R++ just needs a hug.

Also, my IRL friend has a motto he carries with him. "Life is Lifey" As in, Life will have its ups & downs. Just know this and ride out the downs, and don't get too confident in the ups, be ready for the downs.

He would say it so much that it became a running gag among our group where whenever anyone of us would get sad or pissed off; we would say "Hey, Life is Lifey" and we'd laugh and cheer ourselves up.

EDIT: This is in reference to the "Life is Life" selection, I was having a bad day, and seeing that made me think of it and it cheered me up.

50% of SHL responded that they were mentally ill????? Wow, what a shocker. Smile)

I love that this day and age is more about finding some excuse for your shortcomings instead of taking responsibility for yourself as a human being.

Definitely.

If you're mentally ill, you shouldn't have to work like a normal person. Society should support you and ease your internal suffering through any means.

I'm mentally ill. SHL has turned me into a self-harming, depressed, PTSD-suffering, addict. Give me a GM job.
