Colorado vs Montreal game 65

In this game, both teams put up alot of shots early thought in the first period both teams failed to put any goals in the net, Montreal had 7 shots on goal, Colorado had 13. The teams also combined for 5 penalties. The second period was a bit more calm, both in shot and penalties. There were a grand total of 6 shots on goal, just 4 by Colorado and 2 by Montreal and even the penalties were low with just 1 penalty.

The first two periods, were the type of game that would put you to sleep. No goals, no fights, a few penalties but this was also a game vs the at the time top 2 teams in the league that were trying to leverage for the right to tops in the whole league trying out muscle each other and show off, neither team was able to produce much of anything early on. the third period is where the goals started to fly.

in the third Colorado scored on the power play about 6 minutes into the game, Charlie Conway got his 4th of the season assisted by Don Pellegrino and Alexander Wolf. Montreal would answer about 30 seconds later, Leo Yakimov scoring his 4th of the season as he was assisted by Sesugh Uhaa, and Keith Doughty. Teams tied at 1 goal each for about 10 more minutes before Colorado scored what would be the game winning goal, as Don Pellegrino scored his 10th goal of the season getting assisted by BJ Subban and Alexander Wolff with about just over 6 minutes left in the game. Montreal won the shots battle in the 3rd period outshooting colorado 12-9 however it was colorados offense that was able to find the back of the net a bit more often to win this one 2-1.
