Drouin asks out
#1

From all accounts Drouin wants a move. He hasn't exactly lit up the NHL, but the upside is there. What do you think he would fetch if dealt?

Not as much as he's worth.

Absolutely terrible handling once again by Tampa. What are they doing there?

Many are questioning what's going on in the LR. Most are unsure if its Cooper, or Yzerman, or both. But is certainly seems like a few bad eggs in management seem to be driving the star power down

You'd have to think it would be for a similar forward who hasn't lit up the score sheet. Yakupov or Dal Colle maybe?

Good move on Drouins part. Get out now before it gets worse for yourself.

Most likely Jon Cooper's problem.

He'd fetch a somewhat similar prospect. Maybe someone like MDC like Dangles said.

Doubt he fetches a similar prospect...

Look what the last 2 comparable players to him got.

Nino Niederreiter (5th overall in his draft year)

for

Cal Clutterbuck
3rd round pick

Kyle Turris (3rd overall in his draft year... Same as Drouin)

for

David Rundblad
2nd round pick

BTW As a supporter of the Bolts I would be EXTREMELY happy if they got a similar prospect but I don't see it happening.

Thank you to My boys @Merica and @Ragnar for the lovely sigs!

Well, Rundblad was a very highly touted prospect at the time of the trade. Obviously it's a lopsided traded these days.

He was a decent prospect, but he was always boom or bust. He's got the talent but early on it seemed pretty obvious he was just as likely to bust as he was to be useful imo.

Plus if I'm not mistaken wasn't he playing downright awful in his rookie year when that trade happened?

I was about to say this. Some had Rundblad pegged as Karlsson lite after he exploded in the Swedish league. He just couldn't translate that on small ice

Jon Merrill and a 2nd for Drouin pls ;Wink I doubt that would get it done but I think the Devils should be all over this, this is the exact trade they should be trying to look for.

Yeah I'm fully prepared to not be thrilled about the return for him. But he doesn't have a spot on the roster right now and given he's not exactly useful in the bottom 6, and he's not producing enough in the top 6 it might be time to move on. I just hope it's a stomachable return.

(Or if the Ducks managed to pull him away Wink )

Am I the only one that thinks Drouin isn't as good as advertised? I just don't think he is as good as he thinks he is or fans think he is.
