1st Period
The start of the first period was very open. There were many shot attempts from both teams within the first 3 minutes of the game two of which were blocked by Montreal Milita's, Clayton Fuller. At the 3:19 mark of the game Clayton Fuller would be rewarded for his defensive sacrifices by shooting a bomb on the power-play to open the scoring. After the goal the Montreal Militia get into some penalty troubles which allows the St. Louis Scarecrows to fire some shots at Matt Lewis-Flood but they are unable to squeak one by.

2nd Period
The 2nd period the ice opens up even more and each team are throwing whatever they can at the net. Many shots are missing or being blocked. Both Casey Holmes and Matt Lewis-Flood play remarkable and don't allow a single goal. The shots for the period end in St. Louis Scarecrows favour 10 to 7.

3rd Period
The 3rd period continues the same pace as the previous two. Each team struggling to stay out of the penalty box which opens up the ice for many shot attempts. The St. Louis Scarecrows are dominating the face-off dot at this point in the game however Jeremy Belfour wins an important defensive zone face-off giving the Montreal Militia puck possession and not even minute later Hugh Johnson dishes a tap to tap pass to Shane Gagner and he rips a hard shot at Casey Holmes making it hard for him to control the rebound and Dane Rowe is quick to finish it at the 15:19 mark of the third sealing the deal on the game.

1st period
The Prince George Firebirds were all over the Colorado Mammoths to begin the 1st period and Izzy Johnson puts them up at the 4:11 mark with a blistering shot. The Colorado Mammoths show some resilience and manage to retaliate at the 8:20 mark from a goal by Mango Dollar. The shots end 11 for the Firebirds and 5 for the Mammoths.

2nd Period
The second period continues with the Firebirds dominating the Mammoths. Jacob Andrews keeps making spectacular saves after spectacular saves keeping the Mammoths in the game. The Mammoths only manage to throw 1 shot on goal the entire period making it very easy for Michael McFadden.

3rd Period
Jacob Andrews continues to play incredibly well and is the only reason the Mammoths are still in the game. The Firebirds are doing everything they can to try and finish the game in regular time but are unable to solve Jacob Andrews. The Mammoths manage to secure at least a point in a game they have no business winning. The shots for the game end 26 to 10 for the Prince George Firebirds. The game heads to OT.

Overtime
Both teams played very tight in overtime and didn't take many risks. There was only 3 shots in the entire period so the game heads to a shoot-out.

Shoot-out
Dickie Pecker dangles past Michael McFadden and scores.
Bennett Jones takes a shot for the Firebirds but is robbed by Jacob Andrews.
Jon Jeeples tries going top shelf on Micheal McFadden but is denied.
Nicolas Winters takes a clapper but is easily stopped by Jacob Andrews
Sim Browski takes a wrister bottom right and it squeaks past Michael McFadden.
