1st Period
A very similar start for both teams, as they made a lot of shots, but most of them missed the net. Great effort put in Vancouver's defense by Jackson Cartier, who blocked two of Mammoths shots in a row, 3 minutes in the game to stop Colorado from getting an early lead. Andreas Georgiadis got 2 minutes in the sin bin for high sticking few seconds later and Mammoths build their chances on this powerplay. After the powerplay, the push to Vancouver net didn't end and at 9:40, Sim Browski oppened the bag and scored first goal of the game, with Sludge and Dickie Pecker getting assists. After that, at 10:34 Luke Powers brings Colorado to penalty kill. That triggered Whalers offense and at 15:59, after five minutes of intese attack on the net, Kevin Grundy tied the game with Yakov Pinehero and Troy Lizben working on assists.1st period ended with both teams shooting 4 shots on net and both getting one goal, as we get into the 2nd period in tie.

2nd Period
2nd period started hot, as both teams wanted to get that lead near middle of the game. Things didn't work as planend for Whalers, as Montel Vontavious Porter got 2 minutes in the box for tripping early in the period, which triggered Mammoths offense. But Colorado didn't take their chances and game continued for the rest of the period with five skaters on both sides. Even more activity in shooting the puck this period, but no result changes. 5 shots for Vancouver, while Colorado shot 7 times on goal as we get into the 3rd period still tie 1:1.

Third Period
Similar start as in the 2nd period, both teams going at it with full throttle, but Vancouver gets fouled again, as Eric Verstappen goes to the box for slashing 2 minutes in the period. Again, huge push by Colorado, but no result. Halfway through the period another penalty for Whalers, Troy Lizben for hooking. Huge advantage for Mammoths, but yet no goal as we go into overtime in tie. 3 shots on goal for Vancouver, while Colorado dominated on offense with 6 shots on net.

OT
Very slow and steady overtime for both teams, as they don't want to lose the goal and the game, but go for the shootout. Lots of blocks, few shots missing the net and overall, only one dangerous shot on goal from Vancouver, while Colorado with no shots on goal in OT.

ShootOut
First 4 shots didn't fall (Bernie Sanders and Strawberry Blake shooting for Whalers, Dickie Pecker and John Jeeples for Mammoths) as both goalies showed great performance in the net. Jackson Cartier ended the drought with beautiful move past Andrews and Gavin Trent stoped Sim Browski's shot afterwards, and Vancouver celebrated though win in Shootout, 2:1.

</div>

1st Period
A very active shootaround for both teams in first period, especially who managed to get 14 shots on goal, while Militia had 6. Of course, lots of shots missed the goal and lots of opportunities were wasted as teams played in full lines only for a half of the period. First goal of the game was very early. One and a half minutes in the first period after first missed shot Harry Hans got a hold of his own rebound and striked the puck past Matt Lewis-Flood in the net. No goals in the first period after the early one, but as I mentioned, lots of shots and penalty minutes, lots of aggression, a real fight for points as it's supposed to by in inner conference match-up.

2nd Period
Some missed passes leading to offsides and icing calls made the start of the second period a bit slow as well as Militia starting to play less aggressive and looking for chances to tie the game. Which they did quite fast. A huge offensive push in St. Louis's zone for almost 3 minutes resulted in a tie goal for Militia. Just like in the first goal, another rebound from missed shot and this time it was Wesley Wells from Montreal Militia. Right after that Jim Nelson from Scarecrows got 2 minutes for holding and Militia could continue their offensive play. But they couldn't capitalise and score was still tie 1-1. The offensive push didn't end for Militia after the end of powerplay, but they got a little sleepy and fall into St. Louis fast brake. Marc-Andre Malkin putted it in the net after the passes of Alexander Charlyb'y and Gustav-Hans Mohrs. Yet another shootaround started, some back to back action. But near the end of the period, Militia tied score the second time in the game. After Dane Rowe won the faceoff, a quick few passes and Shane Gagner puts it past Casey Holmes, 2-2. This period Militia had 11 shots on goal, while Scarecrows had 6.

Third Period
Still, lots of shots in third period, more back to back action and more penalties. One of them led Scarecrows to their game winning goal, as Vladimir Lenin got fouled for tripping. It only took 30 seconds in powerplay for Eugene Feist, to put one in the net. Montreal tried to tie the game with lots of shots, but the D on Scarecrows was on the mission and they got the win in a very important match against an undoubted Four Star cup favourite, the Montreal Militia. Shots this period, 9 for St. Louis against 15 for Montreal.

Stars
1 – Harry Hans (STL) (1G, 0A)
2 – Wesley Wells (MTL) (1G, 0A)
3 – Casey Holmes (STL) (0.938%)

Goalie Stats
Casey Holmes (STL), 30 saves from 32 shots - (0.938), W, 1-1-0, 60:00 minutes
Matt Lewis-Flood (MTL), 26 saves from 29 shots - (0.897), L, 2-1-0, 59:00 minutes
