Mammoths

Militia
Conall Macleod - Riley McDonald - Raven Silverwing
Clayton Fuller - Sesugh Uhaa
Matt Lewis-Flood</div>

1st Period

As expected the Militia came out with a vengeance, completely dominating Colorado in every aspect of the game and especially where it was most important, on the scoresheet. Raven Silverwing started the scoring off at 5:42 of the period, her seventh of the campaign so far. Colorado then began to have all sorts of trouble trying to keep up with the mighty Militia, taking 3 out of 4 minor penalties in the period. Unfortunately, Montreal was not able to capitalize, they were able to get a second goal near the end of the period, at 19:11, Kristians Rozentals and his fourth of the year. Montreal 2, Colorado 0.

2nd Period

After being badly outshot, 13-5 in the opening period Colorado tried to lock things down to try and keep it close with Montreal and though it appears to perhaps work, with Montreal taking the only 2 minor penalties of the period, Colorado’s offense was nowhere to be found, as they only registered a mere 3 shots on net that period and still were outshot by Montreal, who registered 7 shots. Montreal 2, Colorado 0.

3rd Period

Jacob Andrews had kept his team in the game so far and this period they repaid him, it was almost like a miracle Cinderella story which we rarely see with Montreal on the other side of the script, but it just wasn’t Matt-Lewis Flood’s night as he left in 2 goals, one on the power play to allow Colorado to tie it and send it into Overtime. Montreal 2, Colorado 2

Overtime/Shootout

Overtime solved nothing, so the game went into a shootout in which Dickie “whata” Pecker scored the lone goal on a brilliant play in which he kicked his leg out then pulled the puck in and roofed it on the backhand above a sprawling Matt Lewis-Flood. The Montreal crowd was stunned, as losses are rare for this team, especially when they outshoot an opponent 34-18. Final Score: Colorado 3, Montreal 2.

<div align="center">Kelowna Knights vs St. Louis Scarecrows

Starting Line-ups

Knights
Mikko Linna – Dieter Dominique – Denis Lever
Mia Landvik – Fedor Shirobokov
Daniel Vann

Scarecrows
Dos Diablo – Eugene Fiest– Michael McHale
Gustav Hans-Mohrs – Marc-Andre Malkin
Michael Ryan</div>

1st Period

Kelowna came out strong, but the Scarecrow defense in front of the back-up goalie tried to weather the storm. The Knight did get a few good scoring chances but a lot of the play was in the neutral zone. The lone goal as actually by Michael McHale on a breakaway feed from Dos Diablo, McHale pretended to snap the shot and seeing the goalie move slightly, he just slide the puck through between the pad. Outshot 3-6 in the period, but up by one the Scarecrows have to count themselves lucky. Scarecrows: 1, Knights: 0

2nd Period

The second period was no different then the first, except there were a lot more scoring chances by the Knights, who were peppering Michael Ryan, the issue was the Knights back-up couldn’t stop the kitchen sink. McHale for the Scarecrows scored again, as did Markus Karlsson, his first of the season on only 5 shots. That was 3 goals on 8 shots and many were wondering when this guy was going to get pulled…however it never happened. Scarecrows: 3, Knights: 0

3rd Period]

Finally the Knights were able to make something work, as yet again they dominated a period. The issue was it was a little too little and definitely too late. Mia Landvik scored her 4th of the season about half way through the period which gave the Knights life, enough so that only a couple minutes later on the power play Bernard Frederic scored to pull the Knights within one. However that would be as close as they would come, as Michael Ryan shut the door after that, on a game Kelowna dominated on the ice, but not on the scoresheet. Final Score: Scarecrows: 3, Knights: 2.
