Sig 1: 7/10 $525k
The color scheme comes together well here. The effect you used over the sig is neat, but if you look at where his glove goes behind the ref's hand, the hard contrast there makes the edge look really rough and low-quality. I'd suggest making the blurring slightly less drastic if you're going to use images where the render goes behind something you're bringing out of focus. Also, for both of these, the text really needs work. There really isn't any one way to do text "right," but spend some time looking at sigs from some of the top graphics people. Look at what they do and think about why it works. You want it to be visually interesting, but not too overpowering. Sig 2: 8/10 $600k The contrast between the dark background and bright jersey looks fantastic and helps bring attention right to where it should be: the render. The composition is great, and you did a very good job of figuring out where the edges of the canvas should be in relation to the render. The text isn't quite as weak here as in the other one, but it's still the thing you most need to work on. Total:$1,125,000 |
