After giving it time to simmer a bit, we are in need of a new commissioner after <a href='index.php?showuser=1526' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-4'>belgarat</a> resigned due to time constraints in real life. Similarly, the present head office is unable to fulfill the role due to time constraints in their lives. Thus, we will look outside of the head office and open applications for the role of commissioner to the league as a whole.

Job definition: This is mostly up to you, admittedly. Some commissioners opt to take a very hands on approach. The head office will stay on, but it is entirely up to you how much you rely upon the head office members. Do they have final say via a vote? Do they just have your ear and can recommend things? With Bojo, he had final say, but delegated votes to them and respected majority opinion on certain issues. Others, he took them into his hands. This would probably be the recommended approach, as the members of the head office can certainly provide a good counter-balance to any decision. As I discovered as commissioner, having some people around to help make decisions, bandy about ideas, and assist in the running of the league is always useful. Belgarat took a similar approach, but was entirely reliant upon the head office. With each decision, he voted if needed, but otherwise deferred to the decision making of the group as a whole.

Upon taking the job, it is up to you how hands on or hands off you wish to be with regard to decision making and running the league as a whole. The job definition, in a sentence, is simply that you run the league and do every task required to ensure that it runs smoothly.
