With, like, four cups of coffee and internal hatred. I feel you.

just get up and after like an hour max it's all okay, for me the hardest part is waking up, after that it's fine. don't even need coffee or whatever

I mean if you can somehow manage to go to bed before 10, it should be pretty easy. My dad does this all the time, though I do not envy him.

Caffeine does nothing for me and it's so dead here. Nothing to do unless I start scrubbing walls and they don't pay me enough to do that shit haha...
Wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't so slow. And yeah I usually try to go to bed early before these shifts but I couldn't sleep :( ended up with about 4 hours of sleep. Been here 3 hours and it feels like 10 😠![]() Registered Posting Freak Quote:Originally posted by Caillean@Aug 13 2017, 09:53 AM Caffeine has a similar affect on me. I drink coffee and I either get more chilled out or feel nothing. I'm off this week so I have avoided any thoughts of getting up early. But I wake up at 5am when I work morning shifts. Hot shower, tea and self hatred. Sleep also comes difficult to me. So it's a struggle some days. Especially because my job gets really quiet at times (IT) and I have to actively try and avoid sleeping. ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered v cute guy Quote:Originally posted by Pris@Aug 13 2017, 06:58 AMI have the internal hatred down at least

Got to get a routine wether that be exercise and Tylenol pm on the night before those shifts or a nap when you get home from those shifts.
Worked a 0400-1400 (4am to 2pm) for 9 years I had to get up @3 cause the drive...was awesome once I got in a routine. ![]() ACP Access Jabbin' his Jelly Bean Quote:Originally posted by Grapehead@Aug 13 2017, 09:58 AM ![]() ![]() Registered S27, S29, S32 Challenge Cup Champion Quote:Originally posted by Ghostspeed@Aug 13 2017, 10:07 AMYeah, unfortunately Tylenol pm doesn't do anything for me either. It's also hard to get a routine because I don't usually work this shift- and when I do its once a week. The rest of the week I'm closing 2 hours after I should be going to bed for a 430 am shift haha. |
