Ugh how do people do this

Seriously, how do normal people function when waking up at 430 am.

With, like, four cups of coffee and internal hatred. I feel you.

I don't think normal people wake up at that time...

Go to bed earlier and pump your veins full of caffeine.

I mean if you can somehow manage to go to bed before 10, it should be pretty easy. My dad does this all the time, though I do not envy him.

Caffeine does nothing for me and it's so dead here. Nothing to do unless I start scrubbing walls and they don't pay me enough to do that shit haha...

Wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't so slow. And yeah I usually try to go to bed early before these shifts but I couldn't sleep :( ended up with about 4 hours of sleep. Fml

That is true in regards to it being the hardest part, only problem for me is that it's so slow here that I never end up really waking up. Been here 3 hours and it feels like 10 😐

Caffeine has a similar affect on me. I drink coffee and I either get more chilled out or feel nothing. I'm off this week so I have avoided any thoughts of getting up early. But I wake up at 5am when I work morning shifts. Hot shower, tea and self hatred. Sleep also comes difficult to me. So it's a struggle some days. Especially because my job gets really quiet at times (IT) and I have to actively try and avoid sleeping.

Got to get a routine wether that be exercise and Tylenol pm on the night before those shifts or a nap when you get home from those shifts.
Worked a 0400-1400 (4am to 2pm) for 9 years I had to get up @3 cause the drive...was awesome once I got in a routine.

Yeah, unfortunately Tylenol pm doesn't do anything for me either. It's also hard to get a routine because I don't usually work this shift- and when I do its once a week. The rest of the week I'm closing 2 hours after I should be going to bed for a 430 am shift haha.
