S35 Simulation Hockey League Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the S35 SHL Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony! We’re here tonight to honor those that will be inducted into our prestigious hall for their storied SHL careers. Tonight,
TWO players will be inducted into the Hall. Let’s dive right in to see who’s eligible for this evening’s induction.
The eligible players for tonight’s induction are as follows:
Friedrich Müller - <a href='index.php?showuser=1263' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-59'>kit</a>
This German defenseman had 12 season long career, starting as a rookie with the Hamilton Steelhawks in S20, joining the Edmonton Blizzard in S23, and then finishing his career with the Buffalo Stampede in S32. He tallied a respectable 608 games played with 134 goals, 286 assists, a +/- of +36 and 477 PIM. He was the recipient of the Aidan Richan Trophy for Most Improved Player in S21 and the Scott Stevens Trophy for best defenseman in S32. Friedrich still holds the record for most goals as a defensemen in a single season (23). He was also a Challenge Cup Champion with the Blizzard in S28.
Chuck Goody - <a href='index.php?showuser=711' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>Nike</a>
Chuck Goody, the Bostonian blueliner, had an 11 season career. He spread his services throughout the league, beginning his career in S20 with the Manhattan Rage. His time with the Rage ended in S25 when he joined the Texas Renegades. This was not a long stop for Goody, who spend the following season in Toronto, and then joined the Edmonton Blizzard for S27 and S28. At the conclusion of S28, Goody joined Minnesota for S29 and S30 and his career was capped off with one final season with the Los Angeles Panthers in S31. Goody played 562 games, tallied 73 goals and 320 assists, a +/- of +5 and 793 PIMs. He tallied 810 hits and 779 shots blocked in his career. Goody received the Scott Stevens Trophy for Best Defenseman in S23 and was a two time Challenge Cup Champion in S22 with the Manhattan Rage and in S28 with the Edmonton Blizzard.
Jackson Rogers-Tanaka - <a href='index.php?showuser=1178' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>Jedi</a>
Jackson Rogers-Tanaka is an American-Japanese centerman that spent his entire career with the Edmonton Blizzard. His career began in S21 with the Blizzard and lasted 10 seasons until he hung up the skates at the conclusion of S31. JRT played in 558 contests with 99 goals, 310 assists, a +/- of +61 and 371 PIM. Jackson Rogers-Tanaka was a Challenge Cup Champion in S28 with the Edmonton Blizzard.
Edwin Ask - <a href='index.php?showuser=540' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>Ask</a>
Edwin Ask, the Swedish Butterfly Goalie, enjoyed a 17 season career at the SHL level. He played for the Minnesota Chiefs in S10 through S11, joined the Hartford Hydras (at the time) in S12 before they rebranded to the New England Wolfpack. He was a member of the Wolfpack until the conclusion of S16 where he strapped the pads on for the Hamilton Steelhawks. Ask’s time in Hamilton ended in S21, when he returned to Minnesota for S22. S23 brought Ask to the West Kendall Platoon for a couple of seasons, and he finished his career with the Edmonton Blizzard from S25 to S27. Ask played in 515 games and boats a 302-170-42 record with a .904 save percentage, a 2.391 GAA and 45 shutouts. Ask was awarded the S16 John McBride Trophy for Best Goaltender and the S16 and S19 Mike Honcho Trophy for the goalie that allows the least amount of goals in the regular season. Ask’s career began off quite well, capturing the Challenge Cup as a rookie backup in S10 with Minnesota.
Rider Clitsome - <a href='index.php?showuser=537' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-8'>Schultzy</a>
The German sniping winger, Rider Clitsome, played 10 seasons in the SHL. The majority of his career came with the franchise he was drafted to, the Hamilton Steelhawks. Clitsome pulled the Steelhawks jersey over his head from S21 to S29. He elected to join the Toronto North Stars in S30, but only for that season. His final season was with the New England Wolfpack in S31. Rider Clitsome laced them up for 557 games in the SHL. He tickled the twine 211 times and paired that with 222 asissts. He finished his career with a +/- of +37 and 127 PIMs. Clitsome was awarded the Damian Littleton Trophy twice, in S22 and S23. This award is given to the player that is most dedicated to the league. Clitsome was also awarded the S29 Anton Razov Trophy for Playoff MVP. Clitsome is a three time Challenge Cup Winner, twice with the Hamilton Steelhawks in S24 and S26, and he was able to retire on top as a SHL Champion when the New England Wolfpack won the Cup in S31.
Maxim Horvat
Maxim Horvat, the Letterkenny, Ontario native, had a long career that began in S16 with the Winnipeg Jets. Horvat laced them up in the frigid Manitoba city until the conclusion of S19. Horvat assumed a management role with the Texas Renegades and played with them from S20 to S28. Fate brought Horvat elsewhere during the twilight of his career. He played with Seattle in S29, Los Angeles in S30, and finally retired in Texas after S31. Horvat played in 808 contests, scored 222 times and served up 348 apples in his SHL career. He finished at +74 and with 428 PIM. Maxim Horvat is a three time Challenge Cup Champion, and most interestingly, it was three times in a row. Horvat’s first Challenge Cup was awarded in his final season with Winnipeg in S19, and then the second two followed in S20 and S21 with the Texas Renegades.
Magnus Jakobsen - <a href='index.php?showuser=287' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>BANACKOCK</a>
Jakobsen, the Swedish winger, had a 13 season SHL career. He was drafted to the Hamilton Steelhawks in S17 and spent six seasons there with the Hawks. He departed Hamilton in S24, joining the Minnesota Chiefs from S24 to S25. His final stop in his career was to join the Manhattan Rage in S26 for five seasons, completing his career at the conclusion of S30. Jakobsen tallied 624 games played, 208 goals, 270 assists, a +/- of +48 and 432 PIMs. Jakobsen was awarded the S20 Aidan Richan Trophy for Most Improved Player, S23 Ron Mexico Trophy for League MVP, S23 Sergei Karpotsov Trophy for the player with the most points in the regular season and the S21 and S23 Jay McDonald Trophies for the most goals in the regular season.
Roy Razin - <a href='index.php?showuser=93' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>Jorec</a>
Roy Razin, the posterchild for Manhattan Rage loyalty, spend his entire 14 season career in the city that never sleeps. He started in Manhattan in S18 and didn’t retire until the conclusion of S32. Razin played an impressive 758 games, tallied 143 goals, 402 assists, a +/- of -10, 249 PIMs and 1110 shots blocked. He was the S22 Scott Stevens Trophy winner for Best Defenseman and the S22 Aidan Richan Trophy for most improved player. Razin won the Challenge Cup in S22.
Brandon Cant - <a href='index.php?showuser=584' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>Underoath10</a>
Brandon Cant, the German defender, spent 21 seasons lacing them up in the SHL until regression took too much of a toll on his body. His career began in S11 with the Los Angeles Panthers, and quickly departed LA to join the Hamilton Steelhawks. He was a member of Hamilton from S12 to S20. In S21 he joined West Kendall Platoon, and departed WKP for New England shortly thereafter. In S22 and S23 he wore Forest Green with the New England Wolfpack. After S23, he traded in New England Green for Minnesota Green and played for the Chiefs in S24 and S25. Seattle was next on the Brandon Cant SHL Tour, and he spent one season there. In S27 Cant played with the Buffalo Stampede before returning to Hamilton. Hamilton enjoyed the final years of Cant’s career, from S28 to S32. Cant tallied an amazing 1110 games played, 118 goals and 440 assists, a +/- of +69 (nice) and 798 PIMs. Cant won the Challenge Cup in S23 with New England.

Ask is still eligible for the Hall?!? How long can you stay on the list?
It is Ask's sixth. If he doesn't make it in this season he has one final shot.
