A large crowd was in attendance to see the first addition to the Renegades Hall of Fame in over 8 years

Hello and welcome all to the latest addition to what is a very select and celebrated group of players, the Texas Renegades Hall of Fame. Back in S30, three names that are beloved to fans and will always remain synonymous with the Renegades; Jordin FourFour, Alexandre Daigle, and the great Chris Partlow, joined us on this stage to be inducted into our team's hall of fame, a way for us involved in the team to give something back and say thank you to the players for their years of service and incredible success here in Texas. And so it gives me great pleasure to be here tonight and to have the honour to add another name to this list, and when it comes to the definition of a Renegade, one need look no further than the legend we will be honouring tonight.

Although it was a painful offseason for the Renegades this past season, losing some of our longest tenured players and being hit with a heavy punishment, morale on the team is still strong and for those of the team who were there, the cup win of S36 still shines bright in the memory. One amazing story of the cup win was the moment the Challenge Cup was passed into the hands of the team's long term captain, his third time leading the team to the league's ultimate prize and a perfect end to an incredible career, as that victory lap was to be the last time he would skate in a Renegades jersey, with his retirement being announced as he was still out on the ice. I'm sure most of you will have no doubt who it is I'm talking about, so allow me to introduce a man who needs no introduction, one of the most beloved names in the state of Texas and someone who makes a strong case for being one of the greatest Renegades of all time, Liam Kinsler.

Liam Kinsler (S20 - S36)

Regular Season Statistics:
GP: 858, G: 239, A: 321, P: 560, +/-: 16, PIMS: 357, H: 1142, SB: 144

Kinsler played the second most games of any player for the Renegades and sits second in all time point scoring by a very fine margin. A player who showed commitment above all else, Liam spent all 17 of his seasons in the league in Texas, where the team thrived under his leadership and guidance, winning three Challenge Cups under his tenure as captain. Not only did he help to bring team success to Texas, Kinsler's individual talent shone through also, and despite the SHL never publicly giving him an individual award, during his prime in S26, he was independently ranked as the best player in the whole of the league. The contributions Kinsler made during his time with the Renegades are impossible to record on a scoresheet alone, and its this all round contribution and tremendous depth of character that meant Liam's induction into this team's Hall of Fame was an inevitability.

The hockey community of Dallas, Texas and the entire Renegades organisation would like to formally congratulate Liam Kinsler on his induction into the Texas Renegades Hall of Fame, and give our most sincere appreciation for all he did during his time with the franchise. The Renegades organisation will look to continue to honour the achievements and contributions of its players and alumni, inspiring the new generation of players to try and emulate the greats that have gone before them. Thank you for joining us tonight, and one final round of applause for Kinsler!
