So are we just going to let them off the hook and not actually retire their player because I don't think so, especially since there were players who tried to do it before and payed for it. Should be the same precedent.

Do you mean McZ? He's officially set to retire at the end of the season unless he reverses it within a week.

And I said CaptainCrazy and whoever else did it, because some other dude posted another joke retirement thread for a player that wasn't his own. Nothing about McZ.

The post pinned in that forum says if you post in there, *your* player is retired, which was why this is being brought up. McZ is very much retired and not up for unretirement (but still technically has time to change his mind). The question is whether the jokers should be retired even though they didn't mention their players.

To be fair, there is a difference between posting a joke retirement for your own player and posting a joke (un-)retire for some third person. If you still wanna punish people for that in some way then go ahead, but I don't think these cases are directly comparable to what happened with Schmidt and I think Dion and others tried to joke-retire in the past.
