Hi I'm Sid Renfow, from SHL Networks here to tease tonight's SMJHL awards show.

We will be going live on Monday February 25th at 5/6pm ET. Any nominees can DM @Tomasnz potential acceptance speeches and they will be played after the announcement if appropriate. Here awards and nominations:

Around the room are tables with delegations from each of the teams, selected SHL delegates, noted members of the public and the owners.

The music stops and the drinks stop circulating in the ballroom, and the hush rises as Sid Renfrow takes the front stage.

Thank you, hope you have enjoyed our evening so far, the speakers and the food have been great, well okay not great, but good enough, so now we are going to start the main event.

We are going to follow the following order tonight, starting with the formality awards, those we already know who is winning if we can remember back to the regular season, then those voted on by our Awards Committee, and finally we will announce all the various MVPs Finishing with the Committees Selection.

So Lets get started with an easy one, one we should all remember. The Laurifer Trophy. This is awarded to the team with the best overall record.

This was a tightly fought season with the leader changing many times as it developed.
