S48 PT #2 - The SHL Network
#91

Show: This Old House
Premise: Each week, an SHL Hall of Fame player goes and visits teams that used to be good as well as players and GMs of former league teams.
Timeslot: Sundays at 8pm

This is obviously a no brainer. What a better way to learn the histories of the teams and former teams than to send a former player and Hall of Famer out to visit with staff and former players of past teams and current teams and find out where it all went wrong. Picture in your mind Bob Villa telling you how much your house sucks and what you need to do to fix it, then picture Bob Villa or someone like him beating your ass because you said their team sucked and ignoring that last bit of advice.

That is exactly what this show is.

At the end of the show, the host does an "Ask this old House" where people can write in and give their opinion on what happened to the team in question and recommend other teams for the host to visit or discuss.

I look forward to receiving my Emmy.

Show: Spill your guts or fill your guts SHL edition

The SHL Network should end its Thursday nights with a fun gameshow to give fans a different look at SHL players. The show is simple, two teams of two SHL players sit at a table full of exotic foods such as cow brain, fish eyes, bull penis and bird saliva among others, the players on one team choose a food item for the players on the other team to eat if they can't answer the question. The players are then prompted to answer questions about themselves or their teammates that they may not want to answer on live television and must choose between answering the embarrassing question or eating the weird food given to them.

My suggestion for the first episode would be to go with some of the SHL's young stars to make it interesting. Buffalo Stampede prospects @BDonini and @TnlAstatine against Chicago Syndicate youngsters @JNH and @Kylrad should make for an exciting first episode.

The SHL Network is pleased to announce a Brand New 1 hour long Show staring New Orleans Saints Goalie Aleister Cain. @SlashACM  The premise is a cooking show that is never what it seems. Cain will be joined by a special guest each week to make an exciting new dish for his viewers, when unsuspecting things begin to happen. What Cain doesn't know is that the guests are the ones behind all the crazy antics. From adding strange ingredients all the way to home invaders breaking in during the show, each week is must watch just to see how much Cain can take. The good news is this series has been green lit for at least 4 seasons with an option for an additional 3 seasons. Early screenings had fans dying of laughter and excited for future episodes. People can tune in to the show  when it airs starting in late October with a very spooky Halloween episode.

Once it became clear that the SHL Network was looking for new interesting shows to add to their fall lineup, it was pretty easy to design the idea behind the show, and to pitch it to the network developers.

The premise is quite simple, a player is selected from each team, chosen by their teammates to represent their team as the best that they have to offer, so with that said, there isn't a chance that I could pick them myself, but rather there would be nominations.

The premise behind the show is to test, to see who is the ultimate player, in terms of being the best at everything. We will test everything from shot accuracy, to skating speed, passing, defensive and offensive capabilities, endurance, and we will even have skaters in net, seeing how it is from the otherside, trying to make the saves.

Each week, the poorest competitor will be eliminated, and after twelve weeks, there will be four finalists who will compete in the battle royal, where teammates will be randomly selected and they will determine between themselves who is playing their choice of two out of three, of goaltender, defense, or forward.

It will be interesting to see, if they will leave the net open, defended, or a mixture, and this will all be revealed in a special two hour finale, for the new show.

The Ultimate Player.

SHL: Uncensored. Inspired by the St. Louis Blues colorful Stanley Cup victory celebration on live, national television, this is an HBO special consisting of nothing but players mic'd up on the ice, in the locker room, and at practice. The beauty of it is that there is absolutely zero censorship whatsoever. All the chirps are allowed to be heard their pure vulgar beauty, the coke lines before the games are displayed and snorted proudly, and the hookers that we all know New Orleans shares around their locker room gets to show off their talents to the rest of the world and begin attracting a larger audience. I see absolutely no negatives to a program of this nature, it has the animalistic draw of Game of Thrones when there were at least 4 pairs of boobs an episode, only there's no chance of the story going to shit unless the league soft, in which case we've got a bigger issue on our hands.

So this was turned down by Netflix shockingly but this original series will do really well on izz.tv for you. It is called SHL Redemption: A Cultist's story.

The premise of this show follows a happy go lucky best team friend kid looking to make it big in the world of ice hockey called Jon Forty-One who was born as Jon Snow. He gets to his only draft being promised the world by all the Simulation Hockey League General Managers (Don't worry we have the budget to make the CGI show them as talking ugly pigs) only to be shafted and betrayed by them all!

This leads the protagonist on a path of trying to redeem himself and get revenge against every SHL team that fucked him over. I believe this will make for a great story that will have comedy. drama, violence and a tiny bit of romance/nudity on at 9 or 10 pm!

This would have a lot of backstory and run for 60 minutes and say 10 episodes per season. Naturally over time us and izz.tv would get bored of the show and just want to make spin offs which we can branch to other peoples stories in this thread before we decent to stop writing common sense and Jon just says "Y'know I never really cared about what they said." Even though the whole fucking point of his story is about redemption! (AND THEN HE CAN FUCKING DIE TO SOME RUBBLE MAKING HIM COMPLETELY FUCKING POINTLESS GOD FUCK GAME OF FUCKING THRONES SERIOUSLY!)

Errr sorry. This is 200+ words.

In this TV show, Olivier Cloutier brings SHL franchise management and team members together with LGBTQ+ organizations and religious institutions in their city in an attempt to promote community, understanding, and inclusion on all sides of the equation. As a devout Catholic, a gay man, and a hockey player, Olivier believes strongly in counteracting some of the Church's teachings and creating queer-affirming religious spaces, as well as ensuring that young sports players feel that they can be themselves in the locker room. Olivier will be accompanied by different people in a different SHL city each week - usually the team captain and the team's coach for most of the on-screen stuff to ensure the team leadership gets the most out of meeting with the organizations and churches, but also lots of behind-the-scenes marketing staff and such. This show will be nonstop wholesome educational content for its full 25 minute runtime, and it fits into the 4:30-5 p.m. timeslot on Sundays - perfect for after church and afternoon tea viewing.

SHL and SMJHL players are busy throughout the season, and in the off-season, a lot of them go fishing because it's boring and relaxing. Why not bring that relaxing time to during the season and make it a little more fun? Enter Dom Montgomery, self-proclaimed sailing extraordinaire, who takes SHL and SMJHL players and some lucky fans sailing around the North American harbors and fishing during these ten-minute episodes that really take three hours to make but most of it's Dom teaching players to sail out of the harbor and them all answering questions very briefly for the fans. It's only partially scripted and it'll only last five episodes, but why not. On this five-episode journey, Dom will invite Matt Kholin ( @Kalakar ) from Tampa because they're still friends and also Tampa is sure to have harbors. Then some others, and then of course Leo Lockhart ( @ej27 ) will make an appearance in a San Francisco episode because boyfriends. That one will probably be the most watched on YouTube. Watch new episodes every Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on SHL.com.

Written task: Help the SHL create good original content by putting forth an idea for a show!.. which should include it's premise, the time slot and length of this show, the members or players involved and the reasons why you picked them?... in 150 words or more Lets hear your plan! *tag anyone involved*

Let's take a look at Jalopski's Life. Yes that's the SHL centered show around international superstar Samuel Jalopski who is ofcourse handled by the legendary Gil Lemar himself.

What this show consist of? Well it's simple, it's like Cribs but instead, it's Jalopski flexing about every aspect of his life as a SHL great besides just where he lives. The show premiers on Friday night and continues to show for the better part of two hours. The show of course begins by going through Jalopski's extensive clothes collection. We then of course segway to his incredibly indepth chain collection (he's got many of these no doubt). Jalopski then flexes on us mere mortals by showing off his incredible car collection.

The show then goes on to show Jalopski's incredible trophy collection including a 4 star cup and challenge cup in which his back is worn down from having to carry both teams. Pray 4 jalopski

My idea would be having @Pingy Pingu host a show for learning communication skills. As this would be an educational program it could easily fit into afternoons or early evenings - with mandatory night/morning reruns, of course. I'm thinking we could slot it in on Wednesdays to begin with, and expand to both Tuesdays and Thursdays as the show gains traction.

The content would simply put be based on trying to improve people's language abilities and communications skills, using the expertise of the SHL's very own linguist Mr Pingy. I think we've all experienced just how vivid a picture Pingy can paint with his words, and I feel it'd be a shame to not try and share that gift with the rest of our community - and the rest of the world.

Each week he could bring on guests and elaborate on the many 'oogleys' and 'boogleys' of the hockey world. And, with any luck, they too would learn the gift of gab. As motivation to join the show there'd be a promise of an all-you-can-eat pinto bean buffet at each recording session, something that would be sure to draw many high profile SHL guests.

So much focus is placed on the rookie talent in this league that it's become almost boring. What about the old guys? My show would be a weekly review of all the SHL talent in deep regression. I'm talking like post 10% clip and on that downward spiral nearing retirement. Every Sunday at 6pm we'd take a quick snapshot of the league and review the seasonal progress of each team's fossils. Could this be their final year? Which unfortunate rookie was tasked with mashing up their food for breakfast this morning? Each episode we'd bring one of said dinosaurs on the show to discuss their career, review all their amazing milestones and what they have left to accomplish before they ultimately decide to hang them up for good. The typical episode would last about 30 minutes on a basic 1/2 hour time slot, but we'd have a special 1 hour end of season episode each year where we contemplate who's coming back for next season.

Thanks for the sig ragnar!
