I decided to go with S49 prospect, Skao Anazibf (@nour). Anazibf is still playing in the juniors, but is a lock to be called up shortly. The bright lights and glitz and glamour of the SHL have ruined many a prospect. For his first lesson, Kryyst had Anazibf drink 12 shots of jager. Once he was good and blitzed, he was tasked with applying for a job at Pizza Hut. This may seem like two completely unrelated things, but the true goal here is for Anazibf to hone his ability to maintain a straight demeanor under any circumstance. An interviewer is going to look for any reason not to hire you, so if you can fool them even while intoxicated, that will help when you are interviewed by the press after a tough loss or even a rough night out drinking with the boys. Kryyst was quite impressed with the lad. He clearly had a lot of experience in this previously because after his successful interview and subsequent job offer from The Hut, Anazibf confessed that he had actually been quite drunk when he showed up for his lesson. The student has become the master.

After Harry Carpet left his position as an active player in the SMJHL to become a full-time SHL player, he joined the Lions’ management team as a volunteer advisor. He has always enjoyed helping others so this was an easy decision. After having been in the exact same spot several years ago, Harry took over the mentorship of young Swiss backup goalie Markus Tegernako (@KlusteR) who had joined Lethbridge as an undrafted FA not too long ago.
During the week they spent together Harry helped Markus to understand the one main skill every backup in the league needed: patience. “In your first year you won't play a lot,” he told him, “but you have to be there all the time to support your team and your goalie partner.”
During the first morning Harry took Markus to the Japanese Garden in Lethbridge before sunrise to meditate and later they also attended a yoga class there. At the end of the week Harry rewarded Markus by revealing his favorite secret coffee spot in the city - after all ‘there must always be a Coffeeholic in Lethbridge’.
Markus was a quick learner and became an active and motivating voice in the locker room almost immediately. Harry almost felt like a proud parent when the rookie goalie played his first game, got his first W and even earned a ‘first star of the game’ after weeks of sitting on the bench.

The player I would take under my wing for a week would be Jakob Hamrthe young Czech defensemen who just started his SMHJL career. Vent and Hamr would spend the week trying to find Hamr and home and Vent would try to teach Hamr all the American things they have over here but don’t have over in Czech.

They would be in Lethbridge to start looking for places for Hamr to be able to afford to be in order to stay in. They would look at apartments to small houses to get Hamr started on his own. After searching for a perfect fit, Vent would start to try to teach Hamr English to be able to help him better with moving to North America and to speak easily with his teammates on his team. They would start small but would add more words as the days went by.

Towards the end of the week, Vent would begin and show Hamr how to do his taxes by himself or show him certain tools he can use to get them done quickly with a little assistance.

I have decided to choose Satoshi Zizagooney (@TheWoZy) for the big brother program. He is a prospect for the Buffalo Stampede which makes it easier for me. I chose him because if I am being honest, he needs a lot of help. I had to prepare Satoshi for the rough life of being a pro hockey as he is taking advantage of the easy junior lifestyle. The day started at 6AM when I barged into his apartment blaring heavy metal as I was screaming in his face “you don’t know what tough is yet!” which scared the hell out of him but it got him up in a hurry which is what I was after. I then pelted him with eggs for reasons.

I think I might need to change my approach those because this did more harm than good. Satoshi is now more paranoid than ever and can no longer sleep.

Here is a very sensual picture of me mentoring my Junior friend @ProjectSaint.  Since he was the British Isles WJC GM last time around I figured I could help pass along the dastardly IIHF tampering strategies I learned from @Flareon.  It is centered around Reddit comments that probably no one even sees, a crime so heinous us in Great Britain keep it a secret and only pass it down via semi-erotic pottery play.

A rather confused Tobias Linderman examined the person that had been assigned as his Big Brother for the week, former Anaheim Outlaws' assistant captain Yoshimitsu McCloud who was now decked in his usual garb, including his demon-like helmet. The Swede was a bit nervous, but he was assured by the people at the Outlaws' locker room that this was just his normal behaviour.

"So, you're the little brother, eh? I'm Yoshimitsu McCloud. The head office told me that they'd be sending someone to meet me and I'm happy that it's a fellow Outlaw." The ninja turned around, entering back into his own house. Tobias stood still but soon was instructed to enter as well. As he entered, however, he found a bunch of weirdos. This too was apparently normal according to the Outlaws' HO.

Before he could properly understand his surroundings, however, Yoshi threw him a wooden sword. "C'mon. The Outlaws need a new sword-user, after all."

When I was approached about becoming a big brother for this program, I was kind of taken aback. I still look at myself as a young player in this league, but after some converstaion with others, decided maybe I did have what it takes to mentor a young kid coming up into the league. I chose to team up with Calgary Dragons future superstar sensation, Esa Parmborg. Esa has some big shoes to fill as evidence by his other mentor, Esa Anrikkannen and I just wanted to try and take some of that stress off of him and allow him to become his own player. We started the night out like any other in the Big Parm, just a bit of light skating and a few drills to kind of break the ice. After that I decided we needed to blow off some steam and get to know one another, out on the town we went. We went to the local watering hole and of course, Otis B. Driftwood, Chico Smeb, Kata Vilde and Mike Izzy were all around a table absolutely plastered. I wanted to try and ease Parmborg into the team and this was not the best way of doing that, needless to say, we ended up at the table with them. What happened that night? That's another story.

The little brother I picked was my roommate at the WJC, @Jaemistightdabs. Wagg is a good kid, he always helps out and comes from a good family. When I knew him on Colorado, he was a hard nosed power forward with a gifted scoring touch. Off the ice, he is a sweetheart and as his big brother I spent my time just helping him get his apartment in order. When you're on the road all the time, you don't have time to make your place look homey so we spent time just getting him settled in and I even showed him some quick recipes so that he wouldn't have to order out all the time. I also showed him how to use a vacuum. Ok that one is a joke, but JJ is already a good guy and was a great teammate in Colorado and now that I've made it to the show I wanted to give back to someone who helped get me here.

The Dragons Bullet Club has recruited their first Young Lion to their Club and that is Bobby Lane (@Rich ) from the Montreal Militia. This young and upcoming winger was picked in the Top 5 in the SMJHL Draft just like like his big brother Prince Devitt and the two share the same player agent and off-ice trainer in former NHLer Gary Roberts who also train the likes of Steven Stamkos. Bobby Lane posses the very key in what the Dragons Bullet Club looks for in terms of Young Lions is that their eager to learn the game of hockey and not afraid to get a little feisty and dirty to do whatever it takes to become the elite. Of Course being a Young Lion, Bobby has to the hard work and chores for the team, which includes setting up the daily meal plans, doing the Laundry and things that the members of the Dragons Bullet Club that they don't want to do. This process continues until Bobby Lane gets drafted into the SHL and the hopes of being drafted to the Dragons. If he doesn't impress the Dragons brass enough, he'll be unceremoniously kicked out.

I adopted young buck @JaytheGreat Jakob Bruchevski and took him on a tour of Boston. He wanted to do lame tourist shit so I told him that was lame and instead took him to the real cool spots - Trillium brewery, the Navy Yard, the Holocaust Memorial statue that two people fucked on once (yes, it's true). I wanted to see if he was of strong mental fortitude so I made him go into Centerfolds (it's a strip club folks) at 11AM and was delighted to see him come out 5 minutes later, still in possession of all the money with which he entered. That showed to me he was a grown boy ready for the challenges life as an SHL star would throw at him. How did it show that? idk, but I'm glad he didn't want to stay in the strip club. To cap off our Big Brother weekend, we went to Toscanini's in Cambridge and I bought him an ice cream cone and we held hands and skipped down the street!

For this task I have paired up with our Dragons prospect Esa Parmborg (@Steelhead77) who is currently playing in Halifax. Esa Parmborg is set to be called up next season and he is an elite prospect of his draft class. As one of the newest players on the Dragons roster I am tasked to help him prepare for this day. Calgary has it's fair share of casino's and for new players coming to Calgary it can be a huge temptation to visit them regularly. So I organized a poker night at the Big Parm to prepare Esa and teach him the ropes and how to bluff Mike Izzy into folding (it's hard believe me).

At the big parm the poker table was set. We had some parmgirl cheerleaders serving drinks and snacks. Also at the table was captain @Mike Izzy and alternate captain @Slappydoodle. We played all night and needless to say, Esa held his ground, but was not able to compete with the big boys yet. He still has much to learn. Not that we mind though, cause we love to rake in some of that rookie contract money of his.

As Big Brother week starts in the SHL, I have chosen to pick Oliver Klozoff @Alex_Mack. When I had to think about 1 person to spend an entire week with and mentor them in my ways. It was easily Oliver Klozoff, not only is the kid going to be a superstar in the future, hes a blast to spend time with in general. As our first combined activity, we slept until 3pm. Come on we are hockey players and usually dont even play until 7!

After a large breakfast of bacon and bacon, we headed off to the mall to pick up chix who recognized us. Their the easiest. We then returned to my place to party and screw all night long. This is a great way of keeping slim and staying in shape! We continued this daily ritual all 7 days allowed to us before we had to return to our respected teams.

I believe I had a big impact on my little brother and hope one day that he passes along the knowledge I shared.
