1) Check the rulebook regarding send downs and waivers

2) See that the wording says that 5th season J players must clear waivers when sent down

3) Send my player down, and hope that another team doesn't claim him

I've heard people mention the waivers thread, but I've also heard that it's dead so I'd easily assume that it isn't being used anymore, hence the rulebook being my personal source of knowledge

If I'm wrong? Sure okay I get it. But this is a bit of a grey imo and I'm sure HO will address that and make it airtight

Didn't they address it per this thread? I.E doing fuck all.

The last post in the waivers thread was 17 days ago. You know, when we were supposed to be waiving players that needed waivers.

There’s literally zero grey area here.

The problem here is Buffalo actually did the process this very season with Karhunen. Calgary claiming ignorance when all the GMs were tagged about Kahunen just isn't believable. They knew and didn't mention it cause benefitted them to not mention it

Also why do you think buffalo offloaded a lot of players (that was still very serviceable) this off-season? We couldn't risk that other teams claimed players like luffy, vandy or Svensson.

Do you think any of them would have cleared waivers?
