Biggest games can be summed up from me as simple, the games that got them in the finals respectivley.
Montreals biggest game has to be the Game 7 victory over defending champions, Detroit Falcons.
I think this game speaks levels of maturity from the team to not only come back and score 3 goals after Detroit took the lead in the 3rd period, but to do it over a team that won the championship the year before is incredible to me. They trailed by a score at 3-1 at one point in the game before they scored in the 2nd again to make it a 3-2 game. But who would have guessed a 3rd period like that would take place. 5 total goals scored, 4 of them being infavor of the Montreal Impacts. They ended up taking the game by a score of 6-4 to punch thier ticket into the 4 Star Championship.

Now for the Whalers, itll have to be Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Kelowna Knights.
Similar story here, but from what I noticed from this group of players is when they trail in a game, they wake up. I noticed this from the series they had against my Prince George Firebirds, but they let in a goal in the 1st and come firing back with another 2. After the 1st, it was 2-2. And thats the last time the score would be tied. They scored 4 goals one of which being 4 seconds into the 2nd period to end up undoubtingly winning that one 6-3 to punch thier ticket into the cup finals.

Both teams top lines.
Montreal Impact goes; LW Chris Welch, C Evandrus Jesster, RW Lord Pretty Falco.
As a whole, they put up a solid amount of points together combining for a total of 43, 31, and 24 for a grand total of 76 total points from the top line with the leader being Evandrus Jesster.Not only did Jesster lead his line with points, but with his season performance he has emerged as a favorite for the first overall selection in the season 25 SHL entry draft. On this line, no one statistically showed to be a more dominant goal scorer than the other as each of the 3 had similar grapes/apples ratio. Going to be tough for the Vancouver Whalers to shut this line down, let alone contain it.

Vancouver Whalers top line goes as followed; LW Zach Hoover, C Beau Ballard, RW VLAD McZehrl
Now this top line is no slouch either. Vlad had an outstanding season as a send down racking up 50 points for his team.
The top line scored a total of 50 goals to go with 74 assist for a grand total of 124 points, essentially blowing the Impacts top line out of the water in points. The only difference is where the Impact top line is better defensively, the Whalers struggle with Ballard being the only positive rated player with a +1 rating.

Both teams have a great top line, but if one line wants to give an edge to their team over the other team. They'll need to step up and play some defense. The team that plays better defensively and contains the other teams top players will have the best chance to hoist the 4 Star Cup at the end of this playoff series. But if I had to choose one over the other, Id have to go with the Impact line. Defense will be the factor there and if they can play solid 5 on 5 hockey and force the Whalers onto the penalty kill, then it'll be a bad time for the Whalers faithful.

You went through a 7 game series to make it to the finals, do you think that will impact, if you will, the teams mental and physical energy?

I don't think it will at all, to be honest. Once the final game of the regular season was played and we finished in last place, we caught our second wind and went on a mission. The sweep of St Louis was convenient, since that gave us plenty of energy heading into what we knew would be a hard-fought series. We've come too far to let fatigue take us out of the Cup.

What are your predictions for the rest of the series against the Whalers?

Well it's been a pretty even two games so far, but I'm going by my original prediction of us in 7. Bure and McZehrl are great scorers, and Vancouver has a few rookies pulling their weight, but Montreal has a full fleet of rookies ready to stick it to them. I've done well maintaining my body count and have even put in a few goals. Burton, Lidstrom, and Wagner are doing everything they can in the back .. I think it'll be too tough for Vancouver to beat us 4 times.

Your web series the #BuzzKill has taken a life of its own and in only 4 episodes (from what I noticed) its seemed to grow its own cult following. What was the inspiration in coming up with the show?

I'm very glad that so many people have decided to tune in. I didn't anticipate nearly this many fans just starting out, so I'm excited to really get into it and start having people on the show. I did college radio for a semester or two - it wasn't like this by any means, but it was there people told me I had a "voice for radio". Whether or not that's true, those votes of confidence and my writing abilities really translate to news podcasting! I'm hoping next season is even better.
