Game one - West Kendall v Hamilton

Both teams have played 60 minutes, and see them tied up at 2-2, with 29 shots each. Its top line versus top line, and the puck is about to drop. Big Z wins the face off back to Bojo, he then cycles it onto Wagner who pushes the puck up to Lloren who gets the puck in deep. West Kendall is on the fore-check hard, however Hamilton is able to retrieve the puck, and cycle it out of the zone. Slappy McDoodle hopping over the boards is able to steal the puck, and head back down the ice. McDoodle throws the puck on net and it is tipped by PEttyfer...... Save! Tanner covers the puck. Big Z wins the faceoff back to Maximova, she forwards it onto Smirnov, Smirnov throws it downlow to Big Z, Big Z takes it behind the net, before throwing it in front to a pinching Maximova..... She one times it ..... GOAAAAAAAAAAAL !!! Maximova wins it for the Platoon in Over TIMEEEEE



TASK TWO: (worth 3 TPE)

Written: Choose a standout player in the regular season, and write 200 words on how they’ve measured up so far in the playoffs. Must include at least three stats. ( Goals, assists, Hits)

There was a big arguement over who was West Kendalls top player and power forward was this season, and it was between the feisty Slappy McDoodle, and the veteran Big Z. Big Z finished with 22 goals, an 27 assists, with 80 hits. While Slappy Mcdoodle 16 goals, 25 assists and 223 hits. Its arguable that Slappy McDoodle was the better power forward this season with a respectable 41 points, and the huge hit totals.
Now heading into playoffs, only one player would keep up with the standards the set in the regular season. That player was Big Z, who stood tall, and showed why he was the best player for the Platoon. Big Z put up 2 goals, and 6 assists for 8 points in 6 games, while amassing 15 hits. While Slappy McDoodle only registered 1 lonely assist in the 6 games, and putting up 20 hits. Out of Big Z's 8 points, four of them would come on the powerplay!


TASK THREE: (worth 3 TPE)

Written: Choose what you think is a pivotal moment in any of the series’ so far, and flip it on it’s head. What happens if one team loses a game seven instead of wins? What happens if one goal isn’t scored, or is? How does the playoffs change, and how does the series change? (200 words.)

I think the pivotal game in the West Kendall, Hamilton series, was game three. Heading into game three the platoon saw themself up 2-0 in the series. After two periods of play, the shots were 19-4 for West Kendall, however the score was 1-1 heading into the third period. The third period would see West Kendall opening the scoring just 2 minutes in. However, 6 minutes later Hamilton would respond fast with 2 goals of their own in less then a minute apart to take the lead 3-2. Hamilton would gain some momentum, for the rest period, and looked comfortable to lock this game up. West Kendall would respond with 2 minutes left in the period to make the game 3-3. Heading into OT the shots were 32-18 for the Platoon, OT would only see a total of 7 shots before the game ended, and final shot of the game came off of Rider Clitsome's stick, to give Hamilton their first win of the series, in a game which they should not have won. If West Kendall would have won this game, they would have been up 3-0 in the series, which may have been the dagger in the heart. However, Hamilton would make the series 2-1, and would end up winning the next 3 games to take the series 4-2.



TASK FOUR: (worth 3 TPE)

Written: Your player has won the Challenge Cup! Write 200 words about what he or she does on his or her Cup day. (This applies even to players whose teams didn’t make the playoffs)

My day with the cup would be a busy one, but a meaningful one. After sharing the cup with the team, I would head down to Kelowna and share it with them. I would take it to the Knights facility, and share it with their wonderfull community there. After sometime there, I would hop on a plane and head home to Russia. I would go straight to my parents house and share it with them, they are the reason I am playing hockey, and deserve to be a part of it. Many people have the dream of holding the cup, eating or drinking out of the cup, so I would put on a public event where people could bring down their food items, and make that dream come true! All donations would be made out to charity, to help kids in need play sports! To end off the busy day, I would end down to the beach, setup a beach chair, and drink some old smirnoff vodka out of the cup!
